The College Football Playoff Teams REVEALED 
Too much emphasis was placed on conference championships. Years ago it was about putting the four best teams in the playoff. That question is debatable this year(and many others) but with 4 slots and 5 power conference winners someone was going to get left out. FSU on paper got screwed by being an undefeated conference champion....yet, they play in the ACC(the perennial weakest conference) and had a couple close call games they eked out. Is FSU one of the four best teams this year? Probably not, says a collective wisdom. Is Alabama? A team that should've lost the week before had the blatantly obvious push off been called on the final play of the Auburn game. Alabama, another team that had close calls and underwhelming regular season wins. The week before the Auburn game they played their annual November patsy game against the Division 1 powerhouse that is Chattanooga. I guess being in the SEC trumps strength of schedule? Or not in Georgia's case who has been criticized for an easy schedule. Alabama got in on reputation. I hope Michigan kicks their arse. I knew Michigan was gonna be #1 and Washington was gonna be #2.
But I'm pretty surprised Georgia getting beat by 3 points by the #8 was enough to remove them altogether, and likewise, a 3 point victory by #8 Alabama over #1 Georgia was enough to move them up to #4.
Sacrilegious, I know, but I was rooting for Texas because I thought that meant we'd have a SEC-free playoff. I think Florida State kinda got screwed.
I'm rooting for Washington. Two totally different styles should compliment each other for a good game I'd think. Michigan is favored by 5.5, but I don't think it should be that high. I think Michigan will win... I'll say 28-24. Harbaugh will definitely leave win or loss. This is the first CFP NC game I've cared to watch since the very first one. The conventional wisdom is that defense wins championships...an obvious nod to Michigan. However, Washington's offense looks close to unstoppable. I'm right there with ya. As you said, conventional wisdom leans in Michigan's favor. My head says Michigan, but my heart says Washington. I think our scores can be flipped easily. I just hope for a good clean game, mostly, and slightly happier if Washington wins. I wouldn't be mad if Michigan wins. I'm just glad for the fresh narrative.
