Glad the Jays were able to pull away. They did a much better job in the 2nd half. Ashworth probably had his best game as a Bluejay outside of the turnovers.

Think the Jays might move up to #13 after another week with a ton of top teams falling.

Make sure the Jays show some love to the Huskers for knocking off another Top 10 team last night and, in a small way, helping the Jays' RPI !!!

( you can just block out the lose to Maryland, I am trying to)

Haha, I am thankful....now the Huskers just need to find a way to win on the road. The next 2 are going to be tough but after that, the last 7 games are all winnable.

I would also love if the Jays could pull off the upset and beat #1 Uconn on Feb 20th if they are still #1, which they should be.

Hay, I am pulling for the Jays as much as the Huskers. I am one of those who say the state is too small not to pull for all the schools. My line in the sand is that the Jays are OK to lose one a year and that is against the Huskers. In recent years, for the most part, that is where the Jays have really disappointed me!

Jays just didn’t play d last night. Great game to see, but I think on that scramble Bello was fouled on the drive and then miller was fouled when he dove on the ball. The refs just didn’t have the balls to call either.

Hopefully the jays get them in butler.

Nobody played defense last night! I can't, in recent memory, recall a one point game that high scoring. The Jays had their chances but couldn't capitalize. Lots of people bemoaning a loss of a potential 2-seed in the tourney but IMO that's just icing on a tournament cake. Assuming no meltdown, Jays will get a 5+ seed and play who they play.

I'll say, and I have to tell myself this all the time, it's about peaking at the right time and staying healthy. The BE is a tough conference and losses here and there outside of the tourney are not going to be harbingers of doom.

Even with little Creighton defense, Butler shot 60% from 3 pt land. That is pretty out of this world shooting.

Question - looking beyond this season., not many on the bench are getting a lot of healthy experience playing and of the 6-7 players who get in only King & Miller aren’t seniors - so a tough rebuild?

There will be growing pains for sure.. I’ll stop short of saying a “tough rebuild” though..

The Jays have a TON of talent coming into the program and after they get a healthy dose of the world of play in the Big East, should really begin to round into an exciting team to see next year and the year after that..

Even if their record won’t reflect it, the Jays will be a more athletically talented team next year…

Obviously rankings don't mean anything, but I just laugh when the Jays lose one game by one point to a good team and they fall 6 spots in the AP poll.

Meanwhile, WI lost to an unranked Husker team (by 8) and also lost at home to Purdue (by 6)and they only fell 5 spots. And looking at it even further, WI really only has 2 good wins on the year, beat VA and Marquette early in the season. Their big 10 schedule has been very weak.

That's another reason I look at KenPom as much as anything. The update through the Sunday games has the Jays at 18.

Wis at 13
Purdue at 2
Nebraska at 46
Butler at 47
Conn at 3
MArquette at 11
Illinios at 10

Just some examples of the adjusted composites that take a lot more into account than opinion

I look at that all the time, maybe the Jays were ranked too high in the AP to begin with. This is definitely a crazy year for men's basketball, there really are no dominant teams except for maybe Uconn or Purdue.

Men's Basketball Earns Fourth Straight AP Top 20 Ranking

The Creighton men's basketball team slipped six spots to 19th in the Associated Press poll and five lines to 18th in the USA Today Coaches poll released on Monday. The Bluejays are also No. 16 (down three spots) in the updated version of the NET and No. 26 (down five spots) in the KPI. It's the 13th time in 14 polls this season that Creighton has been included in both the AP and Coaches rankings.

This season especially if they are in the top 20, they will be fine and end up with a seed that they can live with.

I’m not saying this, just because I’m a Jays fan, but we are completely getting hosed by the refs once again. Ashworth drove to the hoop with five seconds left. Providence intentionally tried to foul with no call and then Ashworth shot the ball and got hammered but no call.

Now the game is going to overtime

John Bishop was going on about the calls on the radio too...
