What a dominant 2nd half by the Jays. Baylor is playing amazing and yet another all-around team performance.

Going to be a wild one on Tuesday vs UConn.

Yeah, that second half was textbook. Great revenge dub at Hinkle.

After the whooping Marquette got today, I'm not optimistic about Tuesday.

Yeah UConn is literally the only dominant team in the whole country. The jays are going to have to be nearly perfect, but they stand as good of chance as anybody.

It was really 2 different halves. In the first half Creighton just didn’t seem to have their act together. Maybe it was Butler’s defense but watching I noticed quite a few times that Creighton had no one inside the arc and they spent their time passing and dribbling out there, in the second half they seemed to have their play inside the arc more.
We are the people our parents warned us about.

I feel if UCONN brings their B game to CHI, the Jays will win. In this respect, I’m glad the Huskies smacked around Marquette Saturday. If UCONN brings in their A game to Omaha, it’s going to be a tough out for the Jays..

Although CU has a history of playing UCONN very well..Especially in Omaha…

That is what I’m solely basing it upon is how well the Jays have played UConn outside of the first matchup earlier this season. That was the first time that UConn actually owned Creighton.

I believe the first five times we’ve met in the big east Creighton one all five of them

What a game. I have had season tickets for 16 years and this was a top 5 crowd in all those years. (A few during Doug’s senior year were up there as well) but the crowd was rocking from the start. Even when the mic wasn’t working for the guitar player for the National anthem, the crowd picked up and sang.

What a huge game by Ashworth! Really everyone on the team contributed.

So happy to be a Bluejay fan and finally beat a #1 team!

McDermott Wins 600th Game as Men's Basketball Tops #1 UConn, 85-66

For the first time in school history the No. 15 Creighton men's basketball team picked up a win over the top team in the nation, upsetting No. 1 Connecticut 85-66 on Tuesday, February 20. The win was the 600th career victory for Creighton head coach Greg McDermott. The Bluejays moved to 20-7 overall and 11-5 in BIG EAST play, clinching its ninth straight 20-win season and 24th in the past 26 campaigns. Connecticut fell to 24-3 on the season and 14-2 in conference action, as its league-record tying 14-game win streak in BIG EAST play was snapped.

I was so excited, I didn’t get to sleep until nearly 1am this morning. What an awesome, dominant performance by the Jays. Electric atmosphere at CHI. Even though I was watching on TV, you could feel the electricity from the crowd..

I said earlier this week, I was glad the Huskies trashed Marquette last Saturday. I think UCONN might have been “feeling themselves” coming in to Omaha..

But mostly, it was the Jays..who played great defense, shot lights out from 3, showed toughness, and as always and on point KNOWS how to beat UCONN..

Enjoy this one, then get ready for a tough trip at St John’s Sunday morning…

How ‘Bout Them Bluejays!..

PS- Great photos Brad!…

Thanks Guys! Sure was awesome! I believe this is the 15th or 16th season I have photographed Creighton and definitely the best environment I have been in.

Also, I feel hungover today and I didn't even have a drop to drink... Probably dehydrated after a crazy night running around the arena taking photos.

I feel the same way and I didn't drink either. I came home and watched the replay of the game and didn't go to bed until 2am.

My daughter just got sent home from school for being sick and overly tired, but it was so worth it!!! :)

UConn’s Dan Hurley lashes out at Creighton fans in ugly scene after upset
A rowdy crowd at the CHI Health Center serenaded the Huskies’ coach with “F–k Dan Hurley” chants during the Bluejays’ 85-66 win over the nation’s top-ranked team.

While it’s hard to decipher what he said moments before or what induced the reaction, Hurley seemingly can be heard in one video saying “I’ll knock you out” while pointing toward the stands
