Didn’t expect that kinda blowout tonight but it was nice to see after that bad game at St. John’s on Sunday.

Up next is Marquette on Saturday and Kolek got hurt tonight with an oblique injury that they don’t know how serious it is.

This would be another huge game that the Jays need. Game is already sold out and tickets on the secondary market are over $70 at the cheapest!

Definitely a huge game for bracket position on Saturday. Jays gotta be able to play solid to beat Marquette with or without Kolek though. Can't get to elite eight/final four sliding through the good graces of opponents' injuries. This business of opening up the game (again) with poor shot selection is not going to help them.

I hope the Jays come out strong. The game in Milwaukee wasn't exactly a blowout and I feel Creighton matches up well with them. Ashworth and Kalk were almost non-existent in that game, doubt that will happen again.

And also this time, hopefully they can keep Shaka off the court and from being the 6th defender shutting down Baylor. That was absolutely ridiculous that they allowed that to happen and right in front of the ref.

By the way Kalk moved into 9th place all-time on the Creighton scoring list last night. And Baylor got his 1,000th point in a Creighton uniform as well. He is only the 11th player ever to do that for 2 different schools. Depending on how far they go this year, Kalk could get into the top 7 at the end of the year.

Obviously no way to know, but I wonder what his numbers would have been if he played all 4/5 seasons at Creighton. My guess, with the system that Mac has, Baylor probably wouldn't have played much his freshman year, although he only played 20 min/game at SDSU and averaged only 6 ppg.

According to the game notes for tomorrow, Ashworth isn't getting recognized, so I would think that means he is coming back for next year as well.

Kalk can also return, but hasn't made a decision yet.

Jays had several chances to go up 10 and instead only have a 2 pt lead.

Need to come out strong in 2nd half.

What a great win for the Jays so happy for the seniors. Bello played amazing. He was 5–5 with 12 points Baylor had 26 points and 16 rebounds. Kalk had 19 points six rebounds and five blocks. And Trey had 18 points and 11 assists what a great group of seniors. Ashworth had a rough day, but managed to hit a one.

I think, right now, the Jays are deserving of a 3 seed in the NCAA tournament..

If they finish the regular season with a win at Villanova and advance to the Big East Tournament championship game, they could be a 2..

The Jays should be ranked in the Top 10 when the AP Poll comes out tomorrow..

Nice win for CU. And I don’t care that Marquette was down 2 guys..Injuries and illness happen..they’re still a very good team regardless…

Court Report: College basketball's coaching carousel season is here, so let's look at the jobs that could open
Creighton. Greg McDermott has been hoping for a new contract for months but it's been a stalemate with AD Marcus Blossom. Word has leaked out of Omaha, Nebraska, in recent weeks about McDermott potentially being a candidate at some other openings and soon-to-be openings. I don't see it. I expect the school gets this done. McDermott winds up with a new deal soon.

I would be shocked if CU didn't lock Mac in for another long term contract. Seems like a no-brainer for Blossom.

UConn beat Marquette in the battle of top 10 teams. That was UConn’s first road win vs a ranked team since 2014, which is crazy because they have won 2 national titles in that time.

I watched this last night, UConn looked tough on the road. Wonder what leaves Marquette? Creighton? The Big East?

I watched the Marquette vs UCONN game last night..

The last 8 minutes of the 2nd half, Marquette had multiple opportunities to get right back in it, but could get no closer than 5 points with less than 1 minute left. The Huskies just out hustled Marquette and beat them to every important rebound..

That all said, there is only one team in the Big East that gets punched in the mouth by UCONN, doesn’t shrink, and punches back- and that is the Jays. I believe CU is UCONN’s Kryptonite.. John Fanta has stated this as well..

Let’s hope the Jays have an impressive road win this Saturday afternoon against a pretty desperate Villanova team…

As of right now, the Jays would be the #2 seed in the Big East tournament. But as mentioned above, it would be nice to get redemption against Nova when they won in Omaha and hold onto the #2 seed.

Yeah, not much of a rumor at this point. Though, lots of sentiment about how this locks Mac in until he retires. Like, whoa now, the 27-28 season is only a few years away. Are we really assigning a Coach Mac retirement clock here?? Bold move.

That info from Creighton doesn't specify an extension date, but I have heard 5 years, since Mac will be 65 then and set to retire possibly.

He is going to be one of the highest paid coaches in the Big East and Top 20 in the country.
