What that seems a little ridiculous. Maybe they should at least wait until tomorrow, b/c if we do get anything it probably won't be until late tomorrow night.

It's just wild how warm and dry it's been. Today especially. You'd be hard pressed not to think it was mid May?

Seems like a waste. We aren't really getting anything, the ground is warm, and its going to warm right back up....

I guess this is the first time in recorded history we've hit 80 in February.

Not a fan, not a fan... 80 degrees is all fine and good, but not in February. There's a time and place for everything and this ain't supposed to be it.

Not specific to anyone posted here, but to those that love this 80 deg in Feb, I will expect the same to happen when / if it is 35 - 40 deg above the norm come August, too!

Depending on the timing of the cold front we "might" get some storms this weekend - even a chance for a few strong/severe ones though dewpoints and moisture depth will probably be too low. Obviously too far out yet to know specifics like that though.

Otherwise the next couple weeks will be a roller coaster as several strong storm systems are depicted to move through the region. Each will probably bring warm air up from the south out ahead of it (which is typical) and then the lows are currently expected to pass north of us so we will mostly miss out on snow but the cold will still move through our area once the associated cold front pushes through so expect at least some shots of colder weather as we head into March.

Whats crazy to me is even today the high will be almost 10 degrees above normal. You step outside right now and that's still warmer than it should be at any given time on February 27th. I'll be glad to see some semblance of normality, even if only for a day.

And I really really hope the rain this weekend comes through, even if it's only a couple tenths of an inch. We're so freakin bone dry right now its insane. Hard enough to stay hydrated let alone when the environment is wicking the moisture right out of you. Lips are red and stinging, skin is dry and irritated, hands are cracked and red. I even took up coconut water (which I have a strong distaste for) to try and combat it. A little help from mother nature would be greatly appreciated.

Yesterday was really odd weather almost to warm for me for February. I liked Sunday’s weather better, that was warm enough for this time of year. Way to early for 80. Shouldn’t see 80 till at least mid March.

I normally wouldn't like the 80, but as Brad mentioned, there was absolutely no humidity, so it didn't feel that warm.

Looks like our dew point is supposed to hit -3 tonight. Relative humidity is supposed to be 70%, but that ain't saying much. I'll be surprised if it snows at all.

Really a big change from yesterday, those wind gusts are brutal, a stiff north wind. Looks like a gradual warm up starting Thursday. The weekend looks incredible again, 70’s .

It'll record as a trace, if that. It might as well not even have happened in my book. We are SO far behind in moisture on the year, on the 2 year, 3 year, 5 year, probably decade, last thing we need is yet another warm and dry one.

Unfortunately, it’d be very unlikely for this year not to have above average warmth.

As dry as it's been I don't count on it. That quarter inch or so of rain we had hope for this weekend has pretty much vanished into thin air.

Pretty much expect sunny, we'll above normal, and windy, which just means it's going to get dryer and dryer, as I type this cracked and bloody knuckles.

Now with February coming to an end, we had some warm weather most this month. We only had one single day with a high below freezing, which is crazy. And only five days below 40. In fact, more than half the month was over 50.

Temp	Days
<30	0
<32	1
32-39	4
40s	7
50s	8
60s	8
70s	0
80s	1

I'm enjoying this cloudy morning, though some rain would have been nice. The NWS had my hopes up a little bit overnight. But yeah, enjoying a small break in the warm and sunny weather. It might sound counterintuitive, but there is a thing where people get depressed when the weather is nearly perfect all the time. There's a theory that there's compounds in soil that cause the release of feel good chemicals in the brain and the effect is hightened when the soil is wet. That may be why a fresh bag of potting soil smells so good and why it smells good outside when it rains. It would make sense evolutionarily. I kind of get it when I water my garden, but it's not as good cause you can smell the chlorine. There's nothing better than a good ol rainy day. I'm begging!

I'm less confident about it after watching the news last hour. I'd go as far as saying it's gon rain if I really felt I knew it would... but it sounds like we're getting more likely to get skirted by it. NWS still saying almost .5", which would be nice, but WOWT saying maybe a tenth. KETV quite a bit more bullish. So I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best. Still relatively speaking, even if we end up with a half inch, that still isn't going to do much for us. We need a GOOD hit, like a day or two of solid steady rain. I'm sure we'll get it eventually, but the sooner the better.

Yeah, who knows. It ultimately will come down to if it can overcome all the dry air that we've had due to lack of rain. I'm sure we will get "some" rain/light snow but it probably won't add up to a lot (based on recent model runs anyway).

Was surprised to see snow this morning, maybe a half inch of wet slushy snow on my lawn, it’s not sticking to streets and sidewalks. This should help green up the grass though. First measurable amount of snow we’ve had in well over a month.
