I haven’t seen the latest replacement rumors in a couple days. Was he one of the rumored candidates or did this come out of left field. I really don’t know who he is. I kinda thought the Baylor AD would be a good choice to keep cohesion with Rhule.

Saw that when he was at Tulane he supposedly got to know Rhule pretty well. Was also very successful at Northern Iowa. Was Athletic Director of the Year while there. Wonder if he wanted to eventually get back to the Midwest?

Yeah, so NU plucks a guy who is 6 months into his job somewhere else and apparently more than happy to walk away from it. Won't be shocked when he does the same at NU.

The University of Nebraska is moving forward quickly in selecting its new athletic director. National media outlets, including ESPN college football reporter Pete Thamel, reported Wednesday morning that Nebraska will hire Troy Dannen as AD. Dannen replaces Trev Alberts, who shocked NU seven days ago by leaving for Texas A&M.

Wow - love how they can move quickly to replace Trev to run one of what should be a top 10 athletics programs in the country within a week... but we can't find a president in 6 months.

I don't think this is going to go well, IMO. Everyone deserves a chance, but never even heard of this guy.
