A pretty funny follow up to Keisei getting the invite to the Final Four 3 point contest. Definitely worth watching the video:

SCHOOL-RECORD SEVEN HUSKERS NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-BIG TEN TEAM

A school-record seven members of the Husker basketball program earned spots on the Winter Academic All-Big team this week. The group includes Henry Burt, Jeffrey Grace III, Sam Hoiberg, Cale Jacobsen, Jamarques Lawrence, Keisei Tominaga and C.J. Wilcher.

It was the second-straight selection for Hoiberg, Wilcher and Tominaga, while Burt, Grace, Jacobsen and Lawrence were first-time honoree. The seven Huskers were among the 81 men’s basketball players honored by the Big Ten Conference this season. The seven Husker honorees broke the previous high of six set on two occasions (2023 and 2004). In all, 22 Huskers have earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in Hoiberg’s five seasons, including 13 over the last two years.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list as of March 1 for winter sports), have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Fred Hoiberg named 2024 Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year

The Jim Phelan Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I coach. The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches, as well as two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com.

Hoiberg guided the Huskers to one of the most successful seasons in program history in 2023-24, as Nebraska went 23-11 and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014. The 23 wins were the most since Nebraska won a school-record 26 games in 1990-91, while going 12-8 in the Big Ten. The Huskers’ third-place finish in the Big Ten Conference was the best since joining the conference in 2011-12 and the program’s best conference finish since the 1992-93 season.

Keisei winning last night made my evening. So cool to see it again on SportsCenter this morning too.
