They were talking about CU's new ballpark on 1620 the other day, basically talking like it was a done deal.

Baseball Completes Season Sweep of In-State Foes With 2-1 Win Over Omaha

The Creighton Baseball team continued its in-state and midweek dominance on Tuesday afternoon with a 2-1 victory over crosstown rival Omaha. The game was played in front of 9,785 fans on Cox Kid's Day, which marked Creighton's largest home crowd since 2019. The win improved Creighton (33-16) to 12-0 in midweek match-ups this season and 6-0 against in-state teams after winning all three games this season from both Omaha and Nebraska. All three Creighton wins over Omaha this year have come by exactly one run, which helped the Jays up its nation-leading non-conference win total to 28. Omaha dropped to 16-29-1 on the year, and 2-17 in non-conference play.

Creighton will close the season later this week when it opens a three-game series vs. Seton Hall. Thursday's game against the Pirates will start at 6 p.m. and will be televised on FS1.

Haven’t been paying a ton of attention here, but how has Creighton fared so poorly in Big East play?

No idea, I knew they were like 22-4 at one point and then I checked the other day and they were 3rd from the bottom in the bad Big East.

Creighton Baseball’s Servais to Close Career in 2025

Creighton Baseball head coach Ed Servais will return to the dugout for his 22nd and final season with the Bluejays in 2025. "Securing the future of a program I've spent over 27 years with was my priority," said Servais. "My career is coming to a close and this allows for our student-athletes to develop a relationship with the next head coach, while maintaining the culture and commitment we've worked so hard to create."

Servais became Creighton Baseball's 10th head coach prior to the 2004 season. The Bluejays' all-time wins leader, Servais has guided the Bluejays to 678 victories (678-404-1) as well as a winning percentage of 62.7 percent during his 21 seasons at the helm. Prior to becoming the head coach, Servais was an assistant coach for the Bluejays for six seasons (1998-2003). Throughout his 27 years at Creighton, Servais has directly impacted more than 400 student-athletes.
