Three former Huskers named to inaugural All-UFL team

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Three former Nebraska football players were named among the best in the UFL during its inaugural season on Wednesday. Former quarterback Adrian Martinez was named to the All-UFL team as quarterback. Two others also made the list, former defensive end Carlos Davis, and former All-American long snapper Jordan Ober. Martinez was named as the best quarterback this season, while leading the Birmingham Stallions to a league-best 9-1 record. According to the UFL, He ranks top-3 in the league in passing yards (1,750), passing touchdowns (15), and rushing yards (528). Davis also plays for the Stallions as a nose tackle, and finished 2nd in the UFL in sacks this season (7.0). Ober is the long snapper for the Michigan Panthers, who the Stallions will face in the semifinals set at 2 p.m. CDT on Saturday. The winner of that matchup will play in the championship on June 16.

I don't know if I should feel good or bad about this.

It's great that they are getting a chance and noticed.

Not so great that they are not in the NFL

The rest of the Jets' QB roster looks like 74 yr old Aaron Rogers, 34 yr old Tyrod Taylor, and undrafted rookie Andrew Peasly from Wyoming.

I'd say he has a chance of seeing the field a lot, at least during preseason.
Stable genius.

He might as I heard yesterday that Rogers wouldn’t be playing in preseason games

I can't see Rogers making it a full season or maybe even a 1/2.

I wish the Nighthawks were still here. Such fun. Another Nighthawk first down.
My old signature got too old. So old it was getting almost as old me as me. Yeah, it was up there in years.

I saw that Martinez played part of the 3rd quarter and most of the 4th yesterday for the Jets. It sounds like he played well but so did the rookie QB from Wyoming.
