Thanks. That angle one is really hard to read (no to mention the aerial photo is many years old).

Yep, that image is worse than useless.

They are working on Lot 13, which is identified as a bank, but I have not seen what bank yet.

I do not see the Tomm'y car listed here that was on an early plan on lot 2 or 3 near Walgreens.

What does OSR abbreviate for on some of these lots?

So, with this and the Adjoing HyVee area, we are going to have Veridian, Citizens Bank, Centris, and another yet-to-be-named bank. Doesn't make two coffee places sound out of line (Three if you count StarBUCKS in HyVee)
I am betting QSR stands for a 'Quick Serve Restaurant', aka Fast Food.

That's exactly what that means - I know one of the previously shown maps had a proposed Chick-fil-A. I think it was the lot in the SE corner which according to the key has a tenant signed on to use the space. I think the "old" map had a McDonald's at the middle entrance listed but now that just says QSR with a lease.

That would make sense for QSE, but why not just fast food? When I think of Quick Serve, I think of Fast Casual like Chipotle or along those lines.

I guess it is marketing.

Chick Fil A has been noted on lot 8 in the corner you mentioned. I have not seen that as official, and I have also heard Cains somewhere in the mix. I don't see both happening, and Chick seems to have more traction.

I think that was one of the others that "moved" from the previously supplied map. I suppose it's not uncommon to have some rearranging taking place when they finalize their landing spots.

Unrelated to the HyVee and Gretna Landing specifically but I'm surprised there are currently no plans (at least not known) that Target would locate somewhere near that area. I suppose WalMart would be another option but personal preference would lean towards Target - first, there's the Gretna Walmart further east on HW370 by I-80 already. Second, demographically speaking the income levels probably support Target in the area.

The Walmart by I80 rules them out in the area. When walmart was first proposed, it was larger and had auto service. The timing of it ended up being a smaller size, and there was no auto service. The area to the general west of the store is empty and was part of the proposed footprint. I can see this Walmart expanding before another is built anywhere close.

As for Target, I agree they will probably come. It could be in one of the areas N of Gretna, too, between Gretna and Elkhorn. When Gretna Landing was in the early stages, before any announcement of who would go there, the Farm / Fleet location said 150,000 ft national retailer or something like that. There was a lot of local speculation at that time that it would be a target. Again, it was only speculation.

I also wonder if Freddies will be on one of these lots. They were set to go to Gretna by Fairway, where Pepperjacks ended up. As I understand it the footprint didn't work out for them.

Is it just me or has Omaha all of a sudden just become a desired market for banks such as Chase and Bank of America? Lived here 49 years and never had either of them but I'm sure they're spread all over both coasts and larger markets like Chicago.

Wonder what the interest is - I welcome the competition for sure... nice to see new things. However I thought it was a little odd they're all coming at once. And some of the locations seem out of sorts. For example I know a Chase went in along 175th & Center almost right next door to a First National Bank (actually between Tanners and Omaha Steaks). And the Bank of America I am thinking about is going in front of the Aldi at 132nd & Center that was one of those weird circular shaped buildings that seemed obscure - They tore it down and built a 2-story structure in its place.

Exactly! So what's the point of the branch(es) unless it's a tax write off. I suppose Capital One will be coming as well... just crazy IMO.

I saw all the open now signs on Sunday afternoon when I was at HyVee, so I drove by on my way out. There was one car in the lot, and it was parked where an employee would typically park. It will get busy, but it sure wasn't on Sunday

I popped in on Saturday evening and I was the only one in the store. I don't think their pharmacy is operational yet and it doesn't look like they have all their merchandise either (products are stretched across multiple facings to hide empty shelves). It's a good 30% smaller than most Walgreens too.

Between Hy-Vee's Pharmacy and the new Walgreens, I wonder how long U-Save will manage to stick around.

U Save has a good following. I use them, and they are always busy. I expect they fill a nitch and will be around for the long haul. Of course, I have been wrong once before! ;)

Any word on the Chick Fil A that had been previously mentioned? I look at the Access Realty website fairly often and I thought at one time the map actually had chicken QSR or perhaps even their logo on there at one time. However, it looks like they've take off some info for future tenants.

I suppose they could have jumped the gun - or, shared too much info too soon. Hard to say. I would think that area would work well for them and other concepts.

Didn't someone say CHI supposedly owns several acres across 370 from HyVee where they're planning to build a full service hospital for west Sarpy? Maybe that's simply speculative.

Interesting. I thought they'd already started construction at their Gretna location? As near as I can tell they haven't done anything on W Maple.

Not a rumor, we have a thread on it somewhere. They have owned that land in "ANTLER VIEW EAST" since 12/15/2021

We have talked about it on Grow Omaha a bunch over the past several years too.

I'd find that odd, as they just started ground work for the one on HWY 370. I believe they've had earth movers over there, a trailer is present and they're laying the infrastructure. But I'm in no way connected to the developer so who knows.

IMO, the dirt work that is going on may not be specific to the FF build-out. It looks to me to be infrastructure work for the overall development including power, sewer, general grading, and fire main type installation.

While saying that there was a statement for the Gretna location that construction would start this fall and it would be open the fall of 2025 so it "may" be a rumor of people getting antsy

I suppose I should have clarified. :) The rumor is that the Gretna Fleet Farm is on hold not that a Fleet Farm is going on West Maple Road.

Think it was proposed that a Starbucks would be 2 buildings to the left of Chase bank. I suppose that’s possible, but one is going up just down the road at 168th and 370 right now, and there’s one inside Hyvee already.

I'm not sure what it is about the intersection of 168th & 370, but I feel something isn't setup correctly or people simply can't figure out how to use the lanes properly. Even with multiple turn lanes and the dedicated northbound turning lane (when traveling west on 370), a lot of people don't know where they're going. Every time I travel west on 370 during rush hour, people in the northbound turning lane are either racing around the westbound traffic and want to cut off other drivers, or they're simply not aware they must turn at 168th.

Either way, adding the Starbucks there I think is going to result in more confusion. Good location, but the intersection seems to create a lot of confusion for some reason.

Yea the Starbucks will be a pain to get to and get out of. If you don’t regularly utilize that light coming from the Starbucks side, boy do I have a nasty surprise for you regarding the length of your green light during rush hour (it’s < 5 seconds, I’ve timed it).

Nice - hopefully this continues to push the rest of the development along some.

My guess is the strip they are finishing on the east side of 192nd by HyVee will house the typical hair salon, dry cleaner, insurance agent, etc.

Any confirmation on a ChickFilA going on the west side by the Fleet Farm?

Follow up to my post above... saw they updated the tenant list on 7-25 on LoopNet. Now have an Arby's and I'm assuming confirmed Starbucks. I do find this incredibly odd that both Scooters AND Starbucks are on the same side in the same development.

Plus Aldi is now listed.

Any idea who is running the regional sporting facilities to the west by the apartments?

On lot 2 or 3 near Walgreens, there was documentation that was online showing one of those lots being a Tommy's Car wash a while back. Wonder if they pulled out with Rocket in front of Hy Vee.

Plus Aldi is now listed.

Any idea who is running the regional sporting facilities to the west by the apartments?
