Where Platte joins Missouri River
I had been curious about what this area looks like. The Platte is my favorite river.

Looks a little different than when I flew over in a helicopter back in 2014. I thought the two different colored water was neat.

I was very surprised to find out that the Platte as we know it in eastern Nebraska is mostly just the Loup river.WorldStreet wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2024 9:39 am I had been curious about what this area looks like. The Platte is my favorite river.

Does the Loup River have a larger volume than the Platte where they meet?

That photo is interesting. I didn't notice any difference in watercolor last month. I wish it would have been noticeable.Brad wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2024 10:21 am Looks a little different than when I flew over in a helicopter back in 2014. I thought the two different colored water was neat.

Yeah, I know the canals, fished them plenty of times for channel cat. But do you know about the volumes of the Loup and Platte at Columbus?FishFighter92 wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2024 3:40 pmWhere north and south Platte meet, the water is diverted : https://www.google.com/maps/@41.1123184 ... 466,3210m/Louie wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2024 1:07 pm Does the Loup River have a larger volume than the Platte where they meet?
