The atmosphere at Memorial Stadium sure is excited and energetic. This is definitely a big game.

It's halftime. Nebraska leads 28-0. This past week, the press was going on and on about how Colorado's such a tough team and Nebraska had their work cut out for them. But Nebraska's doing better than I thought. I didn't expect them to shut Colorado out in the first half.

I’m stunned by that first half. Happy, but stunned.

Game's over. Nebraska won 28-10. They're now 2-0. They had a couple of touchdowns negated by penalties in the 2nd half, which I hated. But a win's a win.

Woo! Took care of business! I would have liked to see them score in the second half, but they got it done.

Like I was saying earlier, I now see a pretty clear path to 7-0 and a very hyped up match with Ohio State.

Husker fans take it in! 2-0 for the first time since 2016! It's been so long. Already a third of the way to bowl eligibility, and oh so sweet to beat down on Colorado.

Still a lot of football left this season, but 2-0 feels good. The defense looks very good, I like the running game so far as well. And the freshman QB is impressive, especially with taking care of the football and limiting mistakes. And not trying to do everything himself. So far so good, easily the best win in years for Nebraska, better than any of Frosts wins, but clean up the penalties.

This was not a feel-good win, this was a hard-fought win that Nebraska earned.

Other than the wins, THE difference between this year's team and last year's- turnovers. After the second game last year, they had FOUR fumbles and FOUR interceptions. Terribly hard to watch.

This year after two games: one fumble, zero interceptions. I put 99% of that on the QB change. The defense is still great. We all knew all we needed was a quarterback, and dammit, we have a freakin quarterback!

Raiola is the best QB we’ve had in a long time. His game management and awareness is superb.

Do we play best QB since [name]?

I know theres a lot of games left for Raiola, but after the first two games, as far as pure passing, ball protection, game management go, Joe Ganz and Zac Taylor come to mind. As far as pure winner, Tommy Armstrong. It's been a while.

He also hasn’t shown that he is a ‘game changer’ quarterback like Taylor Martinez (pre ankle injury). But he plays and makes decisions with the poise of an multi-year starter. Which is just incredible.

Great first half from both sides of the ball …average to below average second half husker offense. They need to cutdown on holding penalties. And I feel that offensive lineman that held causing that long TD to be nullified owes that running back a dinner. Great run

Agree, they won't be world breakers while performing like the second half. But if what they did last night is what needs to happen to get bowl eligible I'll take that. Anything extra is icing.

You're right, although he's connected on a number of deep balls and has made some game-making throws we haven't seen in a long time.

I'm not giving it to him just yet. I think the last guy that had the juice was Tommy Armstrong, so 8 years.

Nice, I forgot to check. Looks good 👍

I know they were ranked 25 preseason at some point during the Scott Frost era, but did absolutely nothing to deserve it... So this is in essence the first time the Huskers have been ranked since 2017 🤔

I know I keep speaking in past-tense, but it literally has been 7-8 years. Too long to remember.

Yep, they were #25 for exactly 1 week in 2019. The last 'real' stretch was through most of the 2016 season. Riley's only successful year.

Everyone was so excited when Nebraska beat Oregon that year. They were saying "Nebraska football is back!" Maybe it was for a while, but then they lost to Wisconsin and got destroyed by Ohio State the week after and reality sunk in.

Rank and file fans right now are excited to beat Colorado but they also acknowledge that Colorado is not a very good team. I think there is optimism and also perspective. I don't think anyone could really argue though that we aren't showing significant improvement.

And not everyone thought Nebraska was back after Oregon. There were plenty of us that knew Riley wasn't the answer.

I really want to go to to a game this year. The past 5-6 years have been so bad, that you could get tickets on the secondary market for $20-40. Now with the ranking all the ticket prices have jumped up. Most are in the $80-90 range for the cheapest.

I did see that the athletic dept is selling a 4-pack of tickets for $200 (they are mostly nose-bleed seats but for the Ill and Rutgers game they are only about 1/2 way up) The way I was looking at it, I really wanted to go to the Wisconsin game and if I couldn't attend the other 3, I should be able to sell them and when its all complete, probably end up paying somewhere around $40/ticket for the Wisconsin game.

Especially if the Huskers can keep winning and start 7-0, I think the prices will remain high.

Anyone else have a thought on this?

It depends on the game and how the season goes. Also, it will impact where the tickets are in the stadium. From what I understand from someone who bought a B1G mini package, the tickets for each game in the package are not in the same location for each game. That is based on one data point the person who bought them told me last Friday night.

If you buy the package and only use the Wis game if the season goes at hoped you will probably not spend more than scalped tickets for Wis. Weather you go to the others or sell them for some unknown amount at this time you will be OK IMO

Don't wait too long. I don't think there are a lot available, and after beating the Buffs, I don't believe you are the only one considering this.

Thanks for the info. I kept refreshing the page (most of these packages had seats in rows 71 or higher) but I lucked out and ended up getting tickets in row 41 and in sections that are very close to each other as well. Don't know if that means someone returned tickets or something. Either way, I feel pretty confident that with seats in only row 41 I can get at least $50-75 for them, which if that happens, I basically get the WI game for free or really cheap and definitely cheaper than the $85 on stub hub.

It probably was Nebraska's "best win" this century. The fact Oregon ended up sucking that year says something lol

True ha. Though, the Colorado win with Henery’s kick or the Missouri win the following year were pretty big.

That was a very exciting win but not necessarily a big one.

I think the Michigan State win in 2015 was significantly a bigger win than Northwestern and even Oregon. They were undefeated and in the top 10 when Nebraska beat them.

Just adding that Nebraska has beaten Ohio St, Michigan, and Penn St all at home this century, though not ever when these teams were at their peak.

Hard to say which one is the biggest win, but to me, it had to be against a highly touted team with still some promise for the season left on the table. So that's why 2016 Oregon was big at the time.

I'd put 2015 michigan state on there, but the season was going nowhere when that happened.

It's pretty easy to pick out the biggest wins of this century, they're not plentiful lol

2016 #22 Oregon 35-32
2011 #11 Michigan State 24-3
2010 #14 Oklahoma State 51-41
2010 #6 Missouri 31-17

A couple good bowl wins in there too, but they were bowl games.

There's a couple opportunities for big wins this year at Ohio State and USC. I actually have a fair bit of anticipation for the Skers to hold it together the next several weeks and end up 7-0 going into Ohio State with something to prove... As I knock on wood. But the schedule looks promising.
