B&G Tasty Foods Pop Up Hy-Vee 180th & Q St...?

Just saw this, my wife shared it with me.

I thought they shut down and were no longer operating any restaurants after closing at NEX. I suppose they could be operating out of a commercial kitchen, etc... but how do they end up at a HyVee for 3 hours on a Friday evening?

And, is it a food truck? Will they be serving inside where you can buy from their grill? Or a fold up table from a crock pot?

I suppose the only way to find out is to go check it out - and we're relatively close so maybe I'll swing in. If anyone can provide additional insight into this, feel free!

Sounds like they sold out in two hours.

I kind of got the impression they eventually might start selling in the Hy-Vee deli section, like they’ve been selling Amigos, but we’ll wait and see.

Selling out in two hours is great but it is also relative to how much they had ready.

Wow, two hours? I suppose that's good for them. Difficult to measure the "success" from a 1-night event, but I do feel it could sell if Hy-Vee had it available. Although I've held off picking up any of the Amigos food they have because I feel the pricing is quite high. Of course you're paying for the convenience by grabbing it off the shelf in a grocery story and I imagine they build in loss for everything they have to toss that doesn't sell.

I've never met anyone in my neighborhood say anything about buying Amigos from Hy-Vee... I would think they would throw out over half of that due to not selling (or maybe they donate it at that point).

In any case, I'd consider trying the B&G if they do start selling it there if it's not $40 for 1 pound of meat.
