Wow! Nebraska just got a pick 6! Nicely done.

UPDATE: Now it's tied at 14 in the second quarter.

2ND UPDATE: Still tied at 14 at halftime.

0-8, including this season and last season, in games trying to attain bowl eligibility.

Im glad it's over. I didn't know what to expect. Part of me said it might be a really close win, bigger part of me said itd be a blowout loss. Last thing I wanted was another close loss. That's what we got. Heartbreak Huskers. At least it wasn't a night game. I got done what I wanted earlier and now I have a little time to chillax. Two more cracks left.

I just saw the last 10 minutes of it or so on TV. Another loss, at least they weren’t embarrassed on National TV. Maybe Wisconsin will be tired next week after a primetime game against #1 Oregon tonight. I just don’t see Huskers beating Iowa.

I don't want to be ambiguous here. I actually breathed a sigh of relief when they put Haarberg in and he moved the ball. I had hoped it was more than a one off. I wanted to see what Haarberg could do with a whole drive. They didn't do it. Raiola is playing scared, and to be completely honest, his build is soft, he has way too much touch, not enough zip, he's kinda hurt, he's no run threat, etc. Not hating on him, but as a true freshman, he's not getting it done at the moment. It's okay. Just win a damn game.

I so wanted Haarberg to finish the series where he got that easy first down run. Should have rode that momentum. Was so disappointed Raiola immediately got the ball back.

Raiola sucks and shouldn't even be the starter. Yes, he's a 5 star, but he has no mobility or field awareness. They'd have to have a superlative offensive line and running game for him to really operate, and they don't. In a school where there were actual options, he would have been benched already, but this is the Nebraska football reality we live in. I could see him transferring after the season, and that might be the best for his future and development. Nebraska has tied themselves to this super elite prospect and he's just not delivering. But, the talent around him and abysmal playcalling hasn't helped his development either. Won't be surprised if both sides move on. And, then we will be back on the QB carousel.

Yeah, bottom line is he's a Mahomes wannabe at the moment. He has talent, but he's not getting it done. If only he could run now and then. I want to see more of Haarberg JUST to get the bowl game drought off our back, but at the same time, I don't want Raiola to be butthurt and leave. He has lots of potential, but Matt Rhule has to believe saving his job is pretty high priority.

Hate making a prediction on this game. Nebraska historically does not play well against Wisconsin and Iowa. Rhule has got to be feeling the pressure now. Not the year we had hoped for, especially with all the preseason hype. Nebraska fan is the most patient in the World and deserves better.

I am kind of surprised that Nebraska is a one point favorite in this game. Luckily, I am never tempted to bet against Nebraska. That said, both teams seem to be in disarray, both having to replace their offensive coordinators.

Wow, I almost forgot the Skers played today. I honestly was much more interested in the Indiana Ohio State game.

I hate predicting the game today. Hard to say the Huskers will win, but I hope they do. I got nothing, just looking at common opponents. They both played Rutgers, Purdue, and USC. The results were the same, both beat Rutgers and Purdue, both lost to USC. Wisconsin was much more dominant in those common wins, but the Skers were more competitive in their common loss.

I guess I'll just say Wisconsin doesn't look as scary as they have the past 13 years??

Im going with a push, Skers 21-20.

Game’s over. Nebraska won 44-25. They got their 6th win and are bowl eligible for the first time since 2016. Good for them.

It’s also the first time Nebraska has beaten Wisconsin since 2012.

Call me a surprised and happy Husker fan. I really don't believe it.

And have you ever seen a weirder final score than 44-25?

Finally the season won’t end on Black Friday. Huge win for Nebraska ! The long bowl drought comes to an end. The win over arch nemesis Wisconsin makes it that much better.

I just watched Oklahoma upset #7 Alabama. They're now 6-5 and bowl eligible. Maybe Nebraska and Oklahoma will meet in the bowl game? That's wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be great if they did?

I thought Wisconsin might come back and win it in the second half. It seems almost strange that Nebraska actually won a critical and important game. Hopefully the players won’t party to hard tonight, a win at Iowa would push us into a better bowl game.

That would be fitting, especially considering both teams have a reasonable chance to finish 7-5.

And for the love of god... Will college ball just lay Alabama to rest for a season. They got railed by unranked Oklahoma, and I wake up this morning to read all the goofballs at ESPN are still saying "DoES OwwaBAmMUh StIw HaB a CHanCe 2 MaKE tHa PWayOFf?? DeRr".

I was nervous, even when they were up 34-17. Something clicked yesterday, cause if the Skers had been the same first half team they'd been all year, wouldn't have been anything new for them to have been up 24-10 at the half, and to lose 25-24. So very happy they were able to score and look like a team.

After yesterday, it feels much more like a winnable game. Iowa is almost always within reach. Just looking at common opponents, both teams recently lost to UCLA, however the Skers actually showed up against OSU, whereas Iowa got blown out. We shall see. I'd think it'll be a good game.

If Nebraska can just stop Iowa’s run game they should dominate. Iowa doesn’t really have much going on with their passing game.

I haven't looked and he's probably been promoted here before but I really enjoy Adam Carriker on youtube. Great personality, family man, played at NU, outstanding youtube videos and podcasts. Last week he interviewed Tom Osborne & Charlie McBride. He's just a great guy to listen to and more than that he has great insights into NU football. For me it's a welcome relief as I live in Michigan Wolverine country and they still haven't gotten over 1997 and more than that Michigan fans are among the most arrogant fans I've ever seen.

Anyway, here's a link to his youtube channel:

If he's been promoted here I'm sorry. He's just a good guy
