Officials gathered in the bitter cold Wednesday morning for a groundbreaking ceremony just southeast of South 24th Street and 23rd Avenue to welcome Union at Bluffs Run.
The $58.2 million affordable housing community plans to open in fall 2026 with a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units for households with incomes at or below 60% of the area median, which is about $65,000 for a family of four and covers nearly half the city's population.
