Re: Chicago
And it's just your standard postmodern building, the likes of which are all over a city like Phoenix or Minneapolis, still serving a purpose. That era of office building isn't so old that it's outlived its useful life.

Re: Chicago
It has a strange footprint, but I don't see why it can't be a residential conversion.

Re: Chicago
According to a rough google maps measurement, the main tower is about 120-130 feet across, but the octagonal shape mitigates that size. It would probably be alright for a residential conversion.TitosBuritoBarn wrote: Wed Jan 15, 2025 5:15 pm It has a strange footprint, but I don't see why it can't be a residential conversion.

Re: Chicago
The Lincoln Yards development wasn't looking promising anyways, but the developer Sterling Bay just gave about half the land to the lender. They have built one of the proposed buildings and apparently it's completely vacant.

Yeesh. Lincoln Yards always felt like a bit of a stretch to me, though I'm surprised to see that Sterling Bay has fallen so far.
