Gonna be a really tough game for them, but I hope the atmosphere gives them a boost.

Jays with another win, down 8 before half but pulled away and won by 25 over Seton Hall. Kalk is now only 9 pts from being #2 all-time for Creighton.

Also a huge crowd of over 18,400. Add the over 10,000 for the women’s game now and the convention going on and there is probably around 30,000 at CHI today.

Only putting this here, because Creighton had the highest attended event, but love this from Shatel's latest column:
One more and I’m outta here
Terrific atmosphere in Ralston for LOVB Omaha’s first home matches last weekend. To go with the Supernovas crowds, Omaha must be a volleyball town.

Then again, UNO hockey packed them in at Baxter Arena at the same time LOVB was playing. Hockey town?

On Saturday, Creighton drew 18,430 for the men’s game with Seton Hall at 12:30 p.m., then 11,141 showed up to watch the Jays women’s team play UConn at 4:30 p.m. Basketball town?

Sports town.
This is why I love Omaha, great support from everyone in the city!

What a great win by the Jays tonight, game got within 1 and Neal hit back to back 3’s. Another quad-one win. Kalk moved into 2nd place all-time scoring for the Jays.

My daughter and I even got on the scoreboard and won $250 from FNBO. Great night all around. It pays to wear a Bluejay onesie…haha

Definitely a highlight reel night for Kalk and Neal. Jays are really heading into a gauntlet of remaining games, last night's game included. Congrats on the $$!

This Jays team is on a big roll. What a January..
Big game this Saturday at Villanova. It would be a huge feather in the Jays cap to snatch that win on the road…

Jays with the huge road win @nova today. Jays couldn’t hit 3’s or FTs and got some questionable calls against them late but they were granted a timeout with 8 sec left and Ashworth used glass from the side and banked it in from 3 to give the Jays the 2 pt win.

Add in UConn beating Marquette tonight and the Jays are tied for 2nd in the conference although all top 4 teams play each other in the next 10-12 days. Gunna be an interesting finish.

Jays getting enough votes for 29th in both polls. Its amazing how a team like Illinois is still ranked. They have lost 4 of their last 7. Meanwhile the Jays have won 7 in a row, including 4 of those on the road and one on the road against a Top 15 team.

The Big 10 is so overrated every single year and it shows in the tournament. They probably only have 2-3 really good teams, yet 6 are ranked right now.

I just had to do a double take when I saw there was only 1 ACC team ranked. I feel the SEC is overrated more than the Big10…9 teams….really?

No one can really defend the Big 10's recent tournament showing. That being said, how many "really good" teams do you feel are in the Big East this year. From what I have seen, it's a very down year for the Big East. If it's not the worst since the new Big East formed, it's at least similar to the early years.

I don't think Creighton is as good as they were last year or the year before it, but I think they have a chance to win the league.

Yes, no doubt the Big East is down this year. In my opinion I am not sure there is a dominant team. Obviously St Johns, Marquette, Creighton and UConn are the best, and they all could potentially do well in the tournament, but at the same time they could easily lose.

The Jays specifically are good but not as great as they have been in the past 4 years. They have really turned their season around since the start of 2025, but they still have some huge tests coming up in Marquette and UConn and @ st johns. No doubt Ashworth and Kalk are carrying this team.

Another close but big win on the road for the Jays. They have now won eight in a row.

Kalkbrenner was a beast tonight and finished with 35 points and 12 rebounds.

People call him soft, but there’s no doubt Creighton would be nowhere without him this year

Huge game for the jays today vs Marquette. Really all of the next 3 are huge, but with St. John’s beating UConn last night the jays need this one to keep pace.

What a great game today. Jays led most of the game but Marquette took the lead with a few minutes left. Neal scored a quick 5 and then Ashworth and Kalk took over.

Creighton should be ranked come Monday after their 9th win in a row and yet another against a #11 Marquette.

I have no idea what Creighton needs to do to move up in these rankings. Obviously winning is more important than any of the rankings but the Jays are only 32 in NET rankings even though they are 11-6 in quad 1&2. Meanwhile Ohio st is 8-9 and they are 26. Illinois is only 10-8 yet they are 12.

This year, more than ever, throw the rankings away, keep your head down and keep winning. UNO hockey is in the same boat… started out slow and now on a terror and not ranked.

Jays returned to the AP poll for the first time since late November @ #24.

They are also #21 in the coaches poll, which after the run they have been, is probably more indicative of where they should be.

Less than ideal result last night, especially when they were doing so well earlier in the contest. Ah well, streaks end.

Yes, that was a tough game, to be up 14 at home and lose. I am not sure why Mac didn't give Kalk a breather, it looked like he could barely get up the floor. Ashworth also had a horrible night and ended his FT and 3pt shooting streak. Hopefully they come out rested and ready on Sun @ st johns.

Yep, the looked gassed and their shooting was ice cold. Luckily Uconn wasn't shooting lights out either or it could have been a blowout.

Terrible officiating in the game @ St. John’s today, which is pretty usual. Jays didn’t play well but only lost by 6 with that embarrassment by the refs. Thankfully Kalk was able to come back after getting hurt when he was fouled.

This is really the important part.

Jays did not take care of the ball very well at all today. Green had a pretty notable first half for sure.

Yeah- thank goodness Kalk is okay and came back in to finish the game..

I looked at the remaining regular season schedule (5 games- 3 at home and 2 on the road)..

I believe 5-0/4-1 is doable to finish the season.. They just need to start knocking down the 3’s more consistently and can the silly turnovers…

Yes about the shooting and turnovers. It would be nice to see a little more from the bench. During the winning streak there was usually one who stepped up and the last two games, the starters pretty much had to do it all.
