Got my answer about the points, it tied the 89 points they score in 1964. So far this tournament it is also the most scored tied with Gonzaga.

Rooting for the Big East..

But obviously, fraudulent 7 seed Marquette losses to New Mexico..

This team has been average for the past 6 weeks..

Completely overhyped and overrated..

Go Jays!…

Yes they were. UConn almost managed to lose tonight but pulled out the victory. Xavier fell short against Illinois. Big East is 4-2 so far in the tourney.

Pretty incredible he feels this way about Creighton and Omaha after only one year:

Incredible quote from Jamiya:

“I never really thought I would be a Creighton guy. When people ask me where I went to school at, I probably won’t even say the other school anymore. It’s just gonna be Creighton. This is where I grew, where I learned to be a man and a basketball player.

“This is where I became Jamiya Neal.”

Jays up 2 at half to overall #1 seed. Shooting lights out from 3 but need to rebound better and stop turning the ball over.

Proud of the team- The Jays fought and competed..

No shame in losing a hard fought game to the #1 overall seed in the tournament…

I really like the game yesterday, although it wasn’t the outcome we wanted, it was so nice to see the sportsmanship of each team and helping players get up several times. So much better than watching a game against most of the big East schools.

I am curious anybody know what Creighton‘s NIL budget was this past season? I heard yesterday on ESPN that Arkansas’s Men’s BB team’s NIL was between $5-6 million this past season., which put them at the top of DivI I

According to this article, the Big East will be fine with NIL. There has been a lot of talk about the football schools having a lot more revenue sharing, but basically most of that is going to be eaten up by football.

This article states that most power programs will have $2-4 million to use for basketball while Big East schools might have $6 million or more (and I think Creighton will be one of the higher ones)

First Jays are in the portal: Pop Isaacs and Mason Miller. Sad to see pop go but miller is prob better in mid-major anyway.

Not surprised to see Mason Miller in the portal. Unfortunate that Pop is out, but there are certainly two sides to the portal and I'm sure Mac has some eyes on some incoming talent, too.

Yes, and now there would be space for Josh Dix, if the rumors are true that the Jays are looking to add him.

I bet Pop Isaac’s came because of playing with Kalk and Ashworth and for a chance to play possibly in the Elite 16 or higher in tournament and he doesn’t seen that possibility for next season.

Auburn defeated Michigan pretty much the same way they beat the Jays last week..With about 10 minutes left in the 2nd half, the Tigers got hot and couldn’t miss..the Wolverines couldn’t throw it in the ocean..Just like the Jays..

Both CU and UofM gave Auburn good games, but I see this team in the final 4..

PS- Not surprised King went the portal route. I was mildly surprised he didn’t do it 1 year ago. He did NOT impress in either the Big East Tournament or the Big Dance this year…

The Jays got a commitment today from transfer Nik Graves from Charlotte.

He played on a terrible team but avg were: 17.5pts, 4.3 rebs, 2.7assts.

Should be a great addition.

Fred King is following Mason and Ryan Miller and committed to Murray St. Glad for him, maybe he will get some big min there, if he can stay out of foul trouble.

Rumors that Aiden Mahaney, who had two great seasons at Saint Mary’s and then transferred to UConn last season is coming to Creighton. That would be a huge pick up for Creighton because he averaged 14 points per game in each of his two seasons at St. Mary’s.

Josh Dix from Iowa, committed to Creighton this morning. He is considered one of the top guards in the transfer portal. Averaged 14.5 pts/game in the Big 10 and shot over 42% from 3 each of the last 2 years.

Trey Alexander was named G league player of the year today. He averaged 26.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 22 G League games this season.

Hopefully, he gets some run in the NBA at some point.

Josh Dix was a huge portal get for the Jays..Coach Mac will turn him into an even better player. I just wish he had more than 1 year of eligibility left..

This team for 2025/2026, has potential to be yet another 20+ win team and Big East contender…

Kinda funny reading the Iowa basketball board. They are all bent out of shape that Creighton and Nebraska got their players in the portal. At least Nebraska schools care about their basketball teams and are top 10 in attendance. Iowa averaged maybe 5,000 actually in attendance and are very sore losers. Now they are claiming that none of the 3 that transferred out are any good, but yet somehow they are going to win multiple ncaa tournament games with 1/2 of last year’s Drake roster on a big ten team. Keep dreaming.
