Found this on the Mutual website:

Mutual of Omaha Headquarters Construction Reaches Significant Visual Milestones

Think this will answer our questions about the core:
As construction of Mutual of Omaha’s future headquarters in downtown Omaha remains on track toward completion in Fall of 2026, several significant milestones are marking visual progress.

The top of the self-climber, the yellow box at the top of the structure that facilitates the concrete construction of the shear core, has reached the 32nd floor, approximately 425 feet high. The self-climber is being reconfigured to suit the core layout for the remaining high-rise portion of the building. The east portion of the self-climber is being disassembled and brought down as that portion of the building will be structured in steel for the remainder of its height. The west portion of the core construction will continue to use the self-climber to form and pour concrete.

Other noteworthy construction milestones include the following:

In early March, construction topped out on the concrete podium portion of the tower, which is the wide structure that runs around the base of the tower and contains the parking garage and other central functions of the building.
Crews have now begun the steel construction phase, which will move more quickly than the concrete phase and continue to reveal more of the building’s form.
The first glass glazing panels have been hung on the east side of the building. As more of the glass panels are installed over the coming months, the building will begin to take on the appearance of the project’s renderings.

Will there be glass on the west, north, south sides of the parking garage, or how will that all be worked out?

Per current understanding: Glass on the east side, most of the north / south sides, metal (aluminum?) on the west side.

Looks like they are doing a pour on the core, so it should be rising either tomorrow or Monday.

They sure aren’t wasting any time getting the framing in place on the steel floors for the construction elevator.

Must be from the FNBO Tower? Someone I know posted a photo from the press club this morning which is somewhat similar, but also more to the left.

Just wondering, is that 3rd floor of steel what we should expect for the remaining floors going up? Its progressively smaller than the 2 below it. I thought maybe the 2nd floor was going to be the footprint, but the latest floor isn't a whole lot outside of the core.

That's the way I understood it from the updated renderings. 1 and 2 were larger, and then the same going up.

That align’s with what we see here from the second image in this post viewtopic.php?p=411088#p411088

Which also looks much better than the planning doc that had one large setback on the west that frankly undermined the height of the tower.

I didn't get a photo today but on the Southwest Corner, two more floors of steel went up today.

Also, this evening the east side of the self climber was put back on. You can see in the first photo, half the yellow piece is already on and they are lifting the other half. In the second photo you can see its all on.

By the way, that explains why they were still working at the top of the core at 10:30pm last night.

I was just searching through the first several pages (I think I had to get past 11-12) to find estimated floor count and height.

It was exciting back then to see how many people were pumped about this project being announced. It's going to be an amazing addition to our downtown skyline. Even as a West-O resident, I still have great appreciation for downtown and midtown (spent half my life living east of Saddle Creek).

I can't wait until this is finished and occupied - I wonder what the next big tower will be?

BTW, what is the final height/floor count they're saying Mutual will be? I think I read 42 floors and around 700' in the early comments.

I forget the floor count, but the height is slated to be 677'.

Next tower will be UNMC's project NEXT, supposed to be 380-400 ft.

Mutual's tower will be 44 floors and 677'.

That’s a nice shot. I drive by there all the time and live just a 1/2 mile or so south of here. Need a few more tall ones but its adding to skyline nicely even 12-15 miles away.

I'm still surprised how much the elevator dominates the floor plate, hardly looks like much space left over.. compared to FNC for example.
