A high rise Holiday Inn downtown and an Eppley expansion I don't remember ever seeing before.

That hotel would have been quite snug against the interstate. Rooftop pool would have been cool though.

That Eppley proposal was out of the blue. From the article the end point would have been six satellites with eight gates a piece, so 48 gates & two relatively small garages.

I'm curious how many flights Eppley handled in those days, or how they were handled differently. Even with the current expansion it won't even be half that size at 22 gates, ~50 years after the 1980 final phase of these plans

Man would have loved to seen that hotel come to fruition.
