Looking at this a little closer, I see that this year, two of the Husker / Creighton games are in Lincoln. I cannot remember a year when it wasn't one on Lincoln and two in Omaha.

I looked at Jay's schedule, and it shows the same thing.

Did I miss something, or was this announced/discussed before?

Wow. It looks like you are right. I can't remember NU playing CU twice in Lincoln and once in Omaha. Really bummed because the 2 NU games were always the best crowds CU got outside of the Military Appreciation game that CU does each year.

#24 Nebraska takes down #18 Vanderbilt 6-4 Saturday night on the MLB Network.

Relief pitcher Tucker Timmerman took a nasty comebacker to the face in the 8th. He was bleeding profusely. Was rough to see.

Starting 2-1 with a season-opening loss to UC Irvine (5-10) and Wins over Vanderbilt (6-4) and San Diago St ( 13-0)
In addition, a Monday game today @ 2 PM against Grand Canyon in Phoenix to get a four-game long weekend under their belt.

Lost 3 -1 on Monday to finish the weekend 2-2 Listed to some of the game, and the Offense was just dea,d not being able to bring runners in, in score position.

Being at the game today with a chance to sweep the weekend series against Rutgers, and being able to see it differently than a TV broadcast. One thing stands out. NO TEAM ENERGY

They did not seem to interact as a team. There seemed to be fans in the stands that were more into the game than the guys in the dugout. Not a good team vib at all.

Nice win for NU last night at #22 Kansas. I watched the game on ESPN+. For a weeknight game the atmosphere was awesome. Great student section and KU even had their pep band there.

Nebraska is the #8 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. I wasn’t sure if they were going to make it to the tournament, but they did.

Yeah it was weird. There was talk of them not making it at all then they jump up to the 8 seed. I was expecting them to end up at 11 or 12 if they made it at all.

There was a pretty good log jam. They locked in with the win on Thursday. If they would have won of all three instead of two of three this last weekend, they had the chance of being seeded as high as 5th going into the series. No idea if that one game would have flipped how much better than 8th they would have been, though, with where everyone ended up finishing

Going into the last series, it was not impossible to be left out, but some things would have had to go against them pretty badly even if they got swept

Is anyone who frequents here going to any of the B1G tournament? I have a pair of tickets, but I will not make it to many during the week.

I may reach out later in the week. The timing is rough for me. My youngest graduates high school tomorrow afternoon and we have family in town.

I bought the pair the first day they were on sale to Husker season ticket holders as the host team.
I am in row six, just off to the first base side in section 111
I am going to try and go Friday for the Husker game but right now may only be using one of the two

They were down 3-4 with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth and the Mich St outfielder dropped a routine out and threw Huskers were able to tie it up…and later pull off the victory.

A few times this season, when those things happened and the Huskers were on the short end, I was nice to see them get one once. That ball would have been caught 99 times out of 100

The Ilinois vs Michigan game also went extra innings, with Ilinois winning 6-5.

Next up for Nebraska: #1 seed Oregon! We did not play Oregon in the regular season. However, we took 2 of 3 from Oregon State; so I'll predict a win… :)

What algorithm are you using to get a victory over Oregon, based on two of three over Oregon St. ?

Looks like they have adjusted the schedule for the B1G tournaments with anticipation of weather issues.

There are now four games today and two on Friday. Would expect that there will be some time changes for Friday that are still coming.

May 22 (Pool Play)

Game 7: UCLA vs. Michigan 9 a.m. CDT
Game 8: USC vs. Penn State 1 p.m. CDT
Game 9: Oregon vs. Michigan State 5 p.m. CDT
Game 10: Iowa vs. Indiana 9 p.m. CDT

May 23 (Pool Play)

Game 11: USC vs. Washington 10 a.m. CDT
Game 12: Oregon vs. Nebraska 6 p.m. CDT

We made a late decision and went to Tuesday nights game. My youngest son graduated that afternoon from Central at Baxter Arena. And then we ate with family at Inner Rail. Between that timing and the forecast I hadn't planned on going. My oldest noticed that they were running behind. Even though it was colder at least it was dry.

Such a great decision. Coming back in late innings, plus the crazy dropped ball in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. Then winning in extras.

So much fun and so glad we made the mad dash downtown for the game.

Any idea when they are going to start. It’s nearing 10pm. They would have been better off moving the game up to earlier this afternoon, especially since the winner is scheduled to play at 2pm tonight tomorrow.

I was there until they finally called it.

There was absolutely no communication on what was going on utill they called it about 9 15

When they moved the one game to Thur and then moved the first game Fri up an hour to 9 AM, I thought for sure they would move the start of the second game up too to give them a chance to work through any weather. Of course, the B1G powers to be made another bonehead move (just like the tournament format) and left it alone.

The only good thing is that they played the Husker / Tenn Softball game on the scoreboard and all of the other TVs around the concourse, even with sound. Was able to see one good game anyway.

It looks like Oklahoma is heading into the Friday game against the Huskers with a bit of confidence.

They have chosen not to pitch their ace starting pitcher and hold him for what they hope is a second game against North Carolina.

I hope it works out for them and there is an upset against NC, and the Sooners can play them with their ace in the losers bracket.

That's such a tough call. Obviously NC is a much tougher opponent than Nebraska but you are royally screwed if it backfires. I believe Nebraska has tried this in the past but it might have been when we were the #1 seed.

My recall to is Nebr has done it as the one seed. As the one seed I think it's fairly common and probably more acceptable

Agreed. I hope we make them regret it.

Two very interesting first round match ups. NU vs OU and Creighton vs Kansas.
