That's such a tough call. Obviously NC is a much tougher opponent than Nebraska but you are royally screwed if it backfires. I believe Nebraska has tried this in the past but it might have been when we were the #1 seed.
My recall to is Nebr has done it as the one seed. As the one seed I think it's fairly common and probably more acceptable
Agreed. I hope we make them regret it.
Two very interesting first round match ups. NU vs OU and Creighton vs Kansas.
Plan to get home a little early from work on Friday and park myself to watch both games.

Game's over. Unfortunately, Nebraska lost 7-4. They'll face Holy Cross in an elimination game tomorrow at 11:00 AM.
Overbeek and Bolin being injured is hurting us. Nice to see Bolin was able to pinch hit.
Despite that we had our chances. Would have loved to cash in with runs in the first when we had the bases loaded. We stranded a ton throughout the game. Oh well, on to Holy Cross.

Nebraska beats Holy Cross, 4-1.
So now they're awaiting the winner of the North Carolina/Oklahoma game. It's looking like it's going to be North Carolina. I just checked the score and they're leading OU 11-3 in the 7th.

This is double elimination, they’ll play the loser of NC/OU. If they win that then they’d need to beat the winner twice.
Wow down 0-15 now. I thought they had a chance in the tournament after the late season run they had and the way they blew through Omaha. Bad loss to end the season.
Up and down year for Nebraska baseball. Started off the year with high hopes but those took a big hit when we lost our potential all american pitcher for the year early on. Followed by some struggles.
All things considered a great finish to the season winning back to back Big 10 titles (tougher this year with the additions of USC, UCLA Oregon and Washington to the conference. All the more impressive with 2 of our starting nine hurt during or just prior to the tournament. And of course making the NCAA tournament.
With the incoming talent, already looking forward to next season.

Does anyone know when the team will be getting their championship rings?
I believe they got the 2024 Conference Tournament Champ rings in October
So they will again this year? Sounds about right.
I have no idea and didn't find anything with a search. I would assume that this would be the case again. IT is during fall ball when they play a scrimmage and practice.
