Chicken N Pickle

When reading the subject line, I assumed it was competition for Raising Cains, Chick Fil A, or Slim Chickens !!!!
For the record  NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER    !!!!!!!

Chicken N Pickle is coming to Omaha providing a pickleball experience for all

It's a sport that anyone can enjoy. At the Maple Athletic Complex, pickleball players come here on a daily basis. Just up the road is where the new Tranquility Commons will go. The development hopes to bring new businesses bounding the community by sports. And for pickleball enthusiasts a special announcement that could attract them.

I remember when racquetball was all the rage, back in the 1990s. In the 1980s it was tennis. Now it’s pickle ball. What will take pickleball’s place in the 2030s? Anyone’s guess.

Something with an even smaller court. Table tennis.

Chicken N Pickle coming to Tranquility Park in northwest Omaha

Mayor Jean Stothert and the developer of the multi-million-dollar upgrade planned for Tranquility Park announced the addition of an entertainment venue there on Thursday afternoon. Chicken N Pickle is coming to Omaha to be part of the action with plans to build at 120th and Fort. The entertainment chain features pickleball courts, food and drink, and party spaces.

“Chicken N Pickle is the ideal complement to our youth multi-sports complex and tournament facility at Tranquility Park and the neighboring Tranquility Commons development,” Stothert said. “It will enhance Tranquility as a destination for sports entertainment and recreation.” The indoor/outdoor sports and activities bar and restaurant plans to break ground on the 55-acre property in 2024 and open to the public in 2025. It’s sort of like the Top Golf model, only it’s pickleball.

Saw a post on Reddit that said this may not be happening anymore due to economic uncertainty.

David Hudnall, The Kansas City Star wrote: For the first time since its founding in 2016, Chicken N Pickle will spend the rest of the year without a new location under construction - a significant pivot for the Kansas City-based entertainment brand that's become one of the country's most visible players in the pickleball boom.

"We're just hitting pause for a little while," said president Kelli Alldredge. "That's not to say we won't get back to building new locations. But with the unknowns of the international economic headwinds and rising construction costs the past few years, we're exploring new ideas of what Chicken N Pickle can look like."

Apparently this is the case.
