2025 World Series

Post by mrsticka »

It's going to be the Dodgers and the Blue Jays. I was hoping the Mariners would finally make it there, but no. Instead it's the Jays. The series starts this Friday. Who do you think will win?

I like NEVER watch MLB, but I might catch a game if I'm really exhausted for options. Even I know about Marlins Guy, and without fail, there he is lol. Thats dedication. I've known of him doing that for at least a decade. And I have to say, I think he's been behind home plate for EVERY game I've passively come across.

And Game 2 is not going the way Game 1 went last night. The 7th inning is coming up and the game's tied at 1. Quite different from last night when the Jays were unstoppable. What can I say? Sometimes it's like that in baseball. Some days, a team is really hot and just dominates. Some days, they're not. I guess this is one of those nights.

The Dodgers won 5-1 taking Game 2. So they tied the series at 1 a piece. Game 3 will be in LA on Monday night.

The Dodgers won Game 3 6-5 thanks to Freddie Freeman’s walk-off home run in the 18th inning. Yes, the game went 18 innings! Very long game.

The Blue Jays won Game 5 6-1. They now lead the series 3-2. They’re one win away from their first championship in 32 years. Game 6 will be Friday night in Toronto. If the Jays win it, they will win the World Series. But if the Dodgers win, they’ll force a Game 7, which will be the deciding game.

I have enjoyed this world series more than most in recent memory. I don't mind the dodgers, Ohtani is fun to watch. But it's better to get a team in there that hasn't won in a while, which is always good for baseball.

Like the Blue Jays? They haven’t won the World Series since 1993.

I'll say what I've caught of Ohtani has been very impressive. I'm not a big baseball guy by any stretch, but I haven't heard of too many home run hitters who also pitch empty frames. And he's a good lookin' guy doing it.

He's really good. Like, there are times he seems almost bored when he's at bat. I know he's not, but just that he's calm as a daisy

I guess Mookie Betts had the go ahead run. As an extremely casual baseball watcher, what I'll never forget about him was when he got gently tapped in the mountain oysters. You know the glancing blows hurt the most, but he still got up with a big smile on his face.

I ROFL every time it comes back up.

Switched it over to the world series to find the game tied 4-4, 3 on, two out, wild catch to send it to extra innings. That was CLOSE.

The Dodgers win it 5-4 in 11 innings. So there you have it. The Dodgers repeat as World Series champions for the second year in a row.

As a life long Dodger fan, this one was my favorite! Easily the worst on my sanity though, what a wild wild series

I guess one could say that now the Blue Jays know how the Mariners felt after Game 7 of the ALCS. How it feels to have victory within your grasp only to have it snatched away from you at the end and you're left utterly humiliated and dejected.

That was one of the best baseball games I have ever seen, and with all the stakes on the table! Yamamoto's effective pitching on zero day's rest was mind boggling. And it seemed like there were base runners in pretty much every half inning, even though most of them wound up being stranded.
