You are correct that you didn't infer that......mikey cee wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 3:47 am I didn't mean to infer or say that any individual's pics were inferior or not good in any way. Only that there were too many GLM shots and others on Abbott Drive etc. Would appreciate west bound shots from the Broadway viaduct, I 29 along the Missouri, Dodge St around 36th. Think of those poor employees at FNB. They are probably 'sick and tired" of those GLM shots that are so misleading. I know that that's life but go easy on the poor souls. As for the Woodmen the Harney at 24th St. can't be topped. What a view that is. These are suggestions not orders folks.![]()

Is this what the finished towers gonna look like at night, or are they going to put some sort of tint on the windows eventually?

No, those are the super bright construction lights in there. They will disappear as the floors get finished and switched over to whatever the final lighting is. Every once in a while they remodel a floor in the woodman and it will look like that for a little while.CompSci99 wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 2:08 pmIs this what the finished towers gonna look like at night, or are they going to put some sort of tint on the windows eventually?

Thanks for the update photos.
Did you use the lens holes one of the old time railroad photographers cut in the fence on that bridge? Both Martha and Vinton have lens holes cut every so often. I never heard who actually did it, but I always appreciated their effort.
Not really in the middle of the day. I handed my camera with a big lens to my wife and said "Shoot the skyline as we go around this corner" but she needed more training... LOL. Next time she can drive and I can shoot it.EricHaley wrote: Sat Oct 25, 2025 4:57 amThat is going to be a real challenge to capture safely.Busguy2010 wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 12:34 am Probably from the flyover ramp from NB Kennedy FWY to WB I-80 is a good view. such a beautiful building. The reflections really make a difference in the skyline- i have always been in love with FNBO, both because it was our tallest and because it's a good design, but Mutual adds a nice contrast

Thank you all for the compliments!Brad wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 8:34 amThe holes I know about are on Vinton and Martha, but I'm not sure about 24th. Last time I was on Vinton they had some thin wire across the holes, but who knows if that's still there. Martha's holes were still open just the other day. The city of Lincoln actually embraced railroad photographers and put lens holes in the fence of one of their new bridges. I wish Omaha was that proactive.remline wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 8:22 amInteresting stuff. I have been wanting to take some photos from the 24th & Martha bridge, but wasn't sure how to avoid being blocked by the fence. Evidently I need to take a closer look.Brad wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 3:24 pmDid you use the lens holes one of the old time railroad photographers cut in the fence on that bridge? I did notice there was a bigger hole cut out on the Martha St. bridge, but I didn’t use that one. I wasn’t a fan of that angle. I just put my cellphone up to/through the fence and took photos that way.

Thanks. That said, I don't need any complaining to get my out to take photos. I have the drive and motivation to get out and take photo on my own, but what I'm lacking is time. In addition to the photography, I have a full time job and two kids that are each in 2 activities. This time of year, by the time I get off work, we eat and run to whatever practice they have that night, its dark by the time I could head out to take photos. I'm currently limited to whatever I can squeeze in on the weekends.Linkin5 wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 8:15 pm Great pics guys. I don’t like it but Mikey Cee’s complaining drives results.

In a March 2025 post on the project website, the team stated: “As steel rises from the concrete podium, we’ll get a clearer sense of the tower’s width and overall shape, with the full height expected to be reached by the end of 2025. Additionally, the glass exterior installation will start in early summer,… and by the end of 2025, we anticipate the tower will be nearly fully enclosed.”Delrey512 wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 12:05 pm Anyone know what floor they are on with the steel? Yep, that’s my photo. It’s very distinctive because it has the flood water from 2019 and the Ferris wheel from Santa Lucia Festival in it. It’s one of the architectural renderings that the towers architect made back in the beginning.Renovator2559 wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 6:40 am
