Were these one-offs? I never saw any media around them.
Like Bob said it is weather related. Chicago airports were particularly bad on Saturday, Omaha also obviously likely wasn't great at times either. Most if not all of these flights wouldn't have had passengers at all.

I'm assuming it was weather related diversions. Some airports were closed for a time.
It wasn't necessarily "diversions." These were more re-positioning flights than anything. i.e. Southwest 8804 that flew to Albany's plane arrived from Austin and was supposed to operate a flight to Midway. That flight got cancelled. Southwest decided the plane and crew would be better served in Albany to get a plane in position for a cancelled Midway to Albany flight the next day.
Similar situation for Skywest 4184. That plane arrived from MSP was supposed to go to DTW. The flight got cancelled. The plane/crew got sent to GSO to fly a GSO-DTW flight where the inbound DTW-GSO was also cancelled.
I don't see the Traverse City flight, but presumably it was a similar situation. Skywest also had a plane for United that got sent to Omaha from Nashville and then to Providence and then to Milwaukee all empty.
Southwest flew a plane Saturday night from Kansas City to operate the morning DAL flight on Sunday, etc.
