One thing to point out is, the area between MNHS and Wycliffe, is like the 3rd highest point in Douglas CO. Should be spectacular views. my only concern is how the amphitheater will "fit" next to MN and Boys town.

My property backs to the west farm, I think it will be great for me. Boys Town kinda stopped caring this year.

I mean we didn't even get renderings of the Grain Silo design until October 2016, so 10 years feels like a stretch

Google earth has a pretty good record of this. You can see that earth was not starting to be moved until summer 2018. Earth still being moved in 2019. The early stages of the parking structure going up in March 2020. Steel for the East wing in 2021. Full structure enclosed in fall of 2022. After this point there seems to be very little change visible at the satellite imagery level other than finishing drives up to the building and landscaping.

Honestly, I'm not really trying to argue about it. I just live very close by and have a short walk over there, which is why I frequent the area and have been following this all very closely. I've called it out a few times now because it doesn't align with how I've remembered things going. I certainly could be misremembering things at times, but when I hear some of these outlandish timelines of how long this development has actually been going, it makes me look back to see what has really happened.

I remember the developers coming to my neighborhood park to present their vision and I hadn't even closed on my house in this area until December of 2017 (I actually pulled out my paperwork to confirm this). So when I read this latest claim, I spent probably around an hour going back through this thread, the articles posted around then, and historic imagery on Google Earth to understand the timeline more. I don't doubt that some minor things happened earlier than I was aware, but the fact is this development wasn't even initially announced until 2016 and this forum tends to start discussions on major developments at the first hint of something.

That said, I do love 30Hop...I was there again this past Sunday.

Has it improved? Mrs Tuna and I went there in the spring-ish and found the service meh and the food quite overpriced for what felt like a menu that was generally whatever Sysco or US Foods told them would be easy to warm up in the back.

I've been there a few times this summer and it's been ok on the service. I had an undercooked burger once but it's been pretty good since. They have a pretty decent beer selection too. There are definitely cheaper options though.

Even if you're 65, retired and rich... why would you live in this thing?

Funny thing is, the people that will buy these (if they sell) will be the same ones that get charged $1 for a bag at Aldi for their groceries...

For all of the debate we've had here, seems like they've identified a market need. Per recent announcements, they've hit the 20% presale mark necessary to begin the process to move forward.

Well that's good to hear. Looks like this is for Phase I, for 7+ units of the 35 in one building. Grow Omaha is saying Phase I will be open in fall 2028.

That is good new for the developer and area - not how I'd choose to spend the money if I had it, but that's the benefit of having different housing options to choose from.

Grow Omaha is reporting a new barn will be going in where the old barn was until it fell apart and that it will be used as an event venue.

Developers of Heartwood Preserve are planning to raise a new barn. According to a building permit, a 3,358 sq. ft. barn structure will be built in the park that is adjacent to South 144th Street and will serve as an event venue. The new barn honors the area’s heritage as Heartwood Preserve was previously the Boy’s Town west farm.

I haven't been over there for a few weeks now other than driving to 30 Hop last week to meet a friend. But the barn is really coming along now. The Olsson building doesn't look like much has happened with though. The first floor has been boarded up for a while now and I've hoped to see the finishing touches put on it. I'm guessing they are focusing more on interior work on the upper floors at this point to get the office space ready.

Did you see how far they are on the bricks on Heartwood Row? From your photos it looks like the barricades are gone now. I've been looking forward to that finally being done for the last few years now and was pleasantly surprised to see them finally start on it the last time I walked over there.

I made it out there today and only the westbound side is done and only to 147th, but they had a good portion of the intersection done.

There's also a crane onsite for the condos and it looks like they've already started on the parking lot. I could see bases for the light poles.

And with it being pretty nice today, the skating rink was really busy too.

This past weekend I walked through here again and noticed a new building going up. It started before winter and they've already poured a parking lot. I had thought it was the condos that were previously announced and was confused because those were supposed to be the next lot over. But apparently there's a new office building going in here. This is just south of Valmont.

I also saw that the two story building being built just west of Gunderson's has a tenant now. B. Morton Design is coming this summer.

I've seen this area a few times now since they started and the unevenness seems to be getting worse and the chips were not something I had noticed before. It doesn't seem like this will age well with what is already occurring so early on.

Looks like the first floor of the new office building is getting ready for new occupants. Any word on who is moving in? Restaurant? Retail stores? I think the outdoor area overlooking the park would be really nice for a restaurant. Who would we like to see there? Personally, something in between Charlston's and 30 Hop. Nice, but not expensive or sports bar. Block 16 (Or Block 144?) would be fantastic!
