New pizza place with a Mexican spin. Grand opening was 4/11/2026. Located in the northeast quadrant of 36th & Highway 370 in Bellevue. They're in the unit where Peak Performance, Green Beans Coffee, and D'Leon's Taco Rico used to be.

The signage on the building says "Soccer Pizza" and then below it in smaller letters it says "Mexican Food." My first reaction was to think that was odd, but then I thought of Romeo's. After looking at their menu, it seems they just have Mexican toppings for pizza more so than offering typical Mexican entrees (no burritos, tacos, or enchiladas here). So, in addition to the standard pizza selection they also have Al Pastor Pizza, Carne Asada Pizza, Chorizo Pizza, and Birria Pizza.

They moved into the same building next to the one that has Varsity Sports Cafe which also serves pizza. That seems like an risky choice, but then how often have we seen McDonald's and Burger King on the same block?

I wish them luck as it's a unique concept, but the pizza's that set them apart from the competition seem incredibly high. I know everything is going up, but it's hard to justify $29-$31 for a pizza. Birria Pizza can be pricey, but at least the photos online kind of just make theirs look like a typical pizza vs. what you'd find at a typical restaurant. These days, with everyone squeezed to the max, I'd imagine Dominoes and Pizza Hut with coupons and $9.99 large pizzas are doing well. Concepts like this are going to have to bring their A game. Even just a pepperoni at $19.99 seems kinda high. There better be a strong value or quality proposition to this. And, they don't have anything on the menu, like tacos, that will bring people in for random lower price meals on the go like at lunch.

Wow, I missed that D'Leons closed already, when did that happen?

No idea. Though, I'm wondering if this is maybe the same people behind D'Leon's, but maybe trying a different concept? Wild speculation on my part.

It looks like this place has closed. I'm not sure when. The unit is now a new place called Don Juan Mexican Food & Seafood. I'm not sure if its the same owner or not.

Did they blame it on the streetcar?
