Northern Vietnam's Karst Scenery

I've been in Vietnam for the past four or five weeks, including the past eight days exploring Cat Ba Island. Karst scenery is among my very favorite types of scenery and can be found in a line from southern China through northern Vietnam. HaLong Bay is more famous for Karst scenery than Cat Ba Island, but after having been to both, Cat Ba Island is much more interesting and much less crowded. Here a few of my favorite photos of this area. I had to include the one floating on a tube because I carried the tube all the way from Omaha.
