Never been to one. What are the thought on this? I look forward to giving them a try

maybe I'm getting old, but it's hard to get excited about current fashion trends or the current run of shoe designs. Good get for Gretna, I'm sure? Checked out the website, but man, it sure doesn't blow my doors off.

It's always good for them to fill an empty space but this definitely isn't a draw. They have one of these at Westroads.

ah ok. Yeah stores like this seem to be a dime a dozen. I don't want to seem super negative about it, and I can't think of anything I'd rather see in its place, but something of a different variety would be cool

I saw Clarks (shoe store) listed on the brands at NEX, but didn't see it on the map. It appears to be "coming soon." Looks like it's going where Steve Madden used to be.

Does it seem like Rod Yates has fully retreated from public life? When's the last time anyone heard from him? He and Johanna used to be regulars on Grow Omaha. You'd also hear from him in the news. Now crickets.

I'm sure the whole failure of basically everything he said was going to happen in 60-90 days has people like the Grow Omaha folks wary of talking to him anymore.

I agree - I'm still shocked Nebraska Crossing happened, TBH. There are some nice brands out there that I'm surprised they landed. I'm just hoping they are able to keep it going. Not sure where he's gone off to hide.

Changes and the ebb and flow of retail isn't unique to NEX or like Eddie Bauer closing all their stores but it seems like this is slowly becoming just another lifestyle center as exclusive to the market brands continue to be replaced by The Buckle, JD Sports and other typical stores found at your average shopping center. I wouldn't be surprised to see Avenue One cannibalize NEX and maybe Village Pointe too that's rumored to be upping its game.
