Not to be confused with the Panda House that used to be in the SWC of 144th & Center. Different owners.

This place has closed permanently. There was a post on Reddit about it and Google Maps is now showing it as permanently closed too.

Thats too bad. Went there about 2 years ago and the food was good. I would really like to see 16th St become more active. It should help now with the DUO and Mutual buildings being complete. There are such good bones in that area, but the street level leaves a lot to desire.

Loved this place - it was a good spot when I worked downtown in the day at FNB; nice quick place to grab a lunch on Saturdays.

This place was aesthetically amazing.

It was like eating in my aunts living room she decked out from Ethan Allen in 1986.

It was on the FNBO lunch circuit haunts along with King Fong, The two Little Kings in the Brandies, the street hotdog cart vendors on 15-16th dodge-douglas blocks.

I guess there wasn't a specific thread for this place but it looks as Africa On A Plate has closed.

Signage is gone and it looks to be all torn up inside.

That’s too bad. Once the Mutual building opens around the corner there will be so many more mouths to feed.

While the anti-streetcar crowd will claim another casualty, this area of 16th St has been hit harder by the Duo apartment construction and the sinkhole. You have to admire this proprietor for even giving it a go under the circumstances.

Is there another hole besides the sinkhole that was just mentioned by nebport5?

Ope, I skimmed his post too fast
