Kawaii Tea Time (90th & West Center Road)

There are signs up on the old Cool Greens spot next door to Dunkin Donuts that say "Tea Time - Noodles Dumplings, and Sushi"

Thanks, I have been watching that space. This sounds like an intriguing concept.

I saw the signs being added yesterday. They have an existing Omaha location near 145th and West Maple.

I stopped in here for lunch today. They want you to order at the kiosks or use their app at your table. They basically sell whatever the currently trendy-in-America Asian foods are (Ramen, Sushi, Dumplings, Boba…). Food was decent. I wasn't too impressed by the service. I'm not sure anyone spoke to me or even made eye contact. Though, this is just one experience. I may give them another chance if I'm nearby and hungry.

They are offering a free something or other if you show them you wrote an online review. So, I'm not sure their inevitably over-inflated online reviews are going to be very useful for gauging the place (Google & Yelp Reviews are becoming increasingly meaningless).

During the height of COVID many restaurants started encouraging customers to order and pay via the QR codes placed on dining tables. I wasn’t a fan of that then and I’m certainly not into that now. Part of the whole dining out experience is being served, from the time you walk in the front door until you pay your bill. Places that don’t understand that won’t be getting my business.

The 145th & Center location appears to be permanently closed. They may have relocated rather than opened a second location as originally reported.
