I would wonder if they're trying to sell the business and doing a little performative updates.
I also wonder what the building owners think of it closing with that giant pizza oven taking up the space that it does.
I heard rumors they sold all the equipment to a new owner, who plans on opening a new pizza place in Countryside, but I can't get anything to confirm that.
It’s confirmed. Drove by last night and there is a sign for “Shredder’s Pizza”.
They’d better have some Ninja Turtle references in the place….
Open in Countryside Village where Mootz used to be. I believe it is owned by David Utterback (James Beard finalist and owner of Yoshitomo, Koji, and Ota).

Does that mean a pizza is $60? Or perhaps a slice is only $20?
I don't think they're doing slices. Which is sort of a bummer for weekday lunches. I don't want an entire pie when I'm dining alone and returning to the office after lunch. It's very new though, so I imagine it will evolve.
Reviews are great and the pictures of their pizza does look good although a little off on the crust to toppings area ratio. Prices are higher, but so was Mootz. We order Mama's when we splurge a little more for pizza. I'd love to order Williamsburg more often, but for a family order, I'm easily topping $100 for a family of 4 where no one can agree to the same thing.
This is in our Neighborhood and we are excited to try it. We heard the Buffalo Chicken Pizza is great. They are currently not taking orders over the phone and when you walk in to order, the wait has been an hour so we haven't had it yet.
We saw some people at the pool with it last week. Apparently they stopped and ordered it on the way to the pool and after an hour one of them ran back up to pick it up.
I tried to go to Shredders pizza last night. Walked in the door and the place wasn’t quite full, nobody waiting to order, they are still not taking phone orders, and the still told me it would be and hour fifteen to an hour twenty for a pizza! I thought those wood fired pizza ovens cooked the thin crust pizzas really fast?
