Raiola ended up playing most of the game yesterday against USC as the Oregon’S starting QB got hit hard and was taken to the hospital. Raiola finished 19 for 25 and 289 yards and the win over USC

I noticed the same thing. As soon as I heard that Moore was injured, I knew that Raiola would be coming in during a high pressure game. He performed admirably.

Initially I thought Nebraska would now face Raiola in several weeks but all the reports on Moore have come back good. Sounds like he just has a concussion and is in concussion protocol, so it very well could be Moore back to face Nebraska.

It appears that Raiola transferring from NU worked out well for both parties.

So, we moved up from 42 to 38 i think. May not be ranked even after Maryland. Though, youd think they give us a token #25 ranking for the Indiana Game.

On Moore, I was surprised Kyler Murray had a similar injury, and he was back after one week. Whether thats good or bad for us? Dunno.

Maryland I'm not worried about. Indiana on the other hand, that's one to be worried about. They're the defending national champions after all. And they're very good under Curt Cignetti.

This week in the AP poll, here is where the Huskers stand. Last week, one voter had them at #24 with two points. That had them at the equivalent of 42

This week, the Huskers are at #33 in the AP

Interesting fact: the only voter this year on the AP Polls who is local or has Husker ties is Andy Kendeigh. He does not show a vote for the Huskers yet.

Game’s over. Nebraska won 48-23. They are now 5-0. This is the first time they have been since 2016.

Now while I’m glad they won, I think we can all agree that there was a big problem with the game: Way too many penalties.

It took a while to figure out how I felt about that game. 48-23, but it didnt really feel like it. They poured it on in the 4th. Just weird it was 28-23 for forever. My cautiousness pretends the game was really 28-23. Can we always count on a fourth quarter frenzy?

In all, I *guess* this game, I think confirmed that the Huskers can play a close game. It makes me want to say next week will be a similar game up to the fourth.

Next week is Indiana, the defending national champions. Nebraska can’t afford to play as sloppy as they did in the first half nor have so many penalties against them. Otherwise, they’re going down like a wet paper airplane.

I fully expect to lose, but I do think Colandrea’s play style keeps it within 10-14 points.

Bugeater, that sums it up. Years past, that game would have been anybodys til the end.

So the boys are #31 going into this game. Indiana is #7. This has all the fixings of a trap game for Indiana, in that their matchup after Nebraska Is Ohio State. I hope we catch em sleeping. Its the biggest opportunity since, you guessed it, 2016.

Ill be happy if they keep it close, but i genuinely believe they'll give em a run for their money.

These next two weeks will be huge for Nebraska. Against Indiana and Oregon. Finally some real big time competition. Will probably sum up the whole season, most likely. How these next 2 games go.

So far so good. 10-3. Although 17-3 would be way better. If they lose, look at that poor final series of the first half.

We're ahead of the 8 ball by one possession at half, and thats a good place to be against the reigning national champions.

Game's over. Nebraska lost 20-17. It actually looked like they might win this one. But no. Indiana came back and won it.

How disappointing.

Indiana got twice their other yardage on two plays, and both their touchdowns on those two plays. Nebraska owned this game (for the most part until they couldnt move the ball). This was Nebraska's game. If they didn't fall asleep on one play, and then fell for the same play but flipped. Thats it. Should have won.

Well, Im talking through the pain... Nebraska probably gains nearly as many positions as they do if they won. They're a top 20 team. It almost makes you more confident they'll hang around Oregon. Ill look at it this way, its better for them not to have the target on their back. At this point 11-1 isnt off the table

I’ve said it for years, but stupid things like the penalty right before halftime, pushing the kick back further, and then missing the field goal ended up being the difference in the game.

Man, you dont know how hard I exhaled after that Colandrea TD. Only to have the wind knocked out before we could settle into our cushy 11 point lead on the Defending National Champions I really thought they were gonna bag a 17-13 win. The offense stunk when it mattered most.

I forget when it happened, but there was a no-touchdown due to catching out of bounds. It was a good play, just a yard or two too skinny. I believe that was just before the missed field goal. We get that, and I even said "17 points going into the half would be much nicer". Add the 7 in the 4th, and it looks like 24-20 would have been. Eh who am I kidding, they had the last possession, if they had to, Indiana could have won 27-24 too.

Indiana made a notable adjustment at half time, I even commented about it. They were COMING AFTER Colandrea, he started throwing prayers. O-line fizzled out a quarter early. Don't ask me how you lose a game you controlled, to a TD pass Tim Tebow can make (any Steelers fans?), not only once, but twice.
