Twisted Cork Bistro — the small Pacific Northwest-meets-Nebraska eatery at 10730 Pacific St. — used to be open only for lunches, drinks and morning and afternoon nibbles.
But chef-owner Darrell Auld has decided to add dinner service on Fridays and Saturdays, starting tonight.
The dinner menu includes Oregon and Washington wines, Midwestern beers, a four-course prix fixe dinner for $35 (or $49 with wines) and a handful of entrees and starters ranging from avocado-grapefruit-pomegranate salad to ginger-crusted sockeye salmon and espresso-rubbed flatiron steak.
The bistro's new hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The number is 932-1300.
Had Lunch here today. Laura makes a nice host. They have a special wine event each month - the next one April 5th with Foris Vineyard Winery, Julianne Allen, Marketing Director will be there to discuss the wines and the winery.
Muscat Frissanti upon greeting,
Pinot Blanc with Artisan cheese,
Fly Over Red with Mixed greens,
Maple Ranch Pinot Noir with Wild Salmon
Rogue Valley Pinot Noir with Joe's cheesecake.
Is Twisted Cork Bistro still planning on reopening? Their website says, "Unprecedented times brings changes for everyone. We will use this time to remodel and expand 'Twisted Cork Bistro' We hope to open in late summer."

Last time I went by they didn't have a parking lot and the building was really torn up.

That end of the parking lot looks closer to done but it’s still a mess.

Any updates on Twisted Cork? The last update on their FB page is August of 2020 with plans to reopen in 2021.
Their signage is up, and patio appears ready. I have not pulled into the parking lot to see how far they are from an interior finishes perspective, but my understanding is that they will be one of the first openings. Heck, the Subway and dentist office never closed during all of this. It'll just be in the middle of a construction zone for a while...
If you look at the Regency Landing instagram page it shows updated pics of this project…Think there still a few weeks away for this one but it looks like there plugging away at it.

They should be back open in early June. They're closer than it looks.
That’s amazing. From 680 it looks like they are so far away from having that building done. Wonder if they can get a partial CO for the building?
The other side of the building is a war zone. But COs can and usually are specific to the business operator. Twisted Cork and Subway are mostly done. The parking lot in front took forever. Frankly the whole thing has, but I promise it’s about open.
Also, they’re opening a place in the former Sushi Karma place on 84th and 370 in a few months as well.
Yes, that building has literally taken longer to rehab than it took to construct the Empire State Building.
We do like Twisted Cork and can’t wait for them to reopen. I’m also excited to have a decent pizzeria in the neighborhood.

I barely took any notes while I was eating it, and for good reason: I was eating crab, mussels, tiny roast potatoes, crisp-tender green beans and bread dipped in savory, hot broth, almost all of it with my hands. I absolutely love crab, and hardly ever see anywhere else in Omaha, period.
Went to Twisted Cork tonight. First time I have been back since the remodel. It’s a great restaurant we need to keep in our regular rotation.
Also, they have a speak easy in the basement! You tell the twisted cork hostess that you need to “make a withdrawal” and she’ll send you down some steps to tell you to go into a room that says “Regency landing storage”. It was a nice place too, with a large drink list.
