Los Compayes

Los Compayes is a new mexican place around 33rd and Q st. I was able to try it at lunch yesterday and found it quite good. The menu is very limited so it may be better for lunch than for dinner. I haven't had the opportunity to try many mexican places here in town but Its tastier than some I have tried!

Do they have tamales? I crave some good tamales. Michaels in the Old Market has pretty good tamales, but I know there's another level out there somewhere.

There is an overwhelming amount of good and authentic Mexican resturants in town, and a new one seems to be opening every day.

I dont think they have Tamales. I dont like them so I didnt look! They have a few types of tacos and quesadillas and another thing of two. The owner said it is not a restaurant but a Taqueria, folks that know will understand the difference! (mostly limited menu)

The pork quesadilla was my favorite - they call it something else that I cant recall but they know what you want if you say pork quesadilla :)
