Isn't that the building across Cuming from the Tip Top building?! If so, I bet it will receive some attention in response to Tip Top's development.

Yeah, the stone on it's great. Very deco. This is one of a handfull of buildings in the North Downtown area that MUST STAY and be rahabed as North Downtown begins to grow and develop.

Art deco is one of my favorites as well. One of my favorite periods in history as well.
There are a good many examples in Omaha. Perhaps the Redick Tower is my favorite.

redick is okay, but durham western heritage museum and the joslyn are nicer examples of deco IMO

I think I like the Redick tower because it seems to get overlooked sometimes. Kind of a hidden gem or underdog perhaps. Basically, I like every example of art deco that I have even seen when it comes right down to it.
Plus when it was the Radisson Redick, my wife and I did a weekend there for our 10th anniversary so it has a little emotional appeal as well. I liked the garage interwoven into the building. The way the lobby was done at the time and we enjoyed sampling the entire menu. Well my wife sampled. I wolfed down the rest.

If you know the address you can go to the douglas county accessors website, you can find out who owns any property in the city. It is tricky sometimes until you figure out some of their adbreviations(sp).Yeah it is. I've always liked this building, mostly because of the entrance. I wonder who owns it.
