My guess is Shoppes on Giles. I get the feeling that it would fit their scheme better than either Portal Plaza.
And - given their timeline it sounds about right.
I would like to see a Lazlo's at Aksarben Village. I would also like to see some of these Lazlo's actually brewing though. Good food the few times I have been there in Lincoln. I hear the one in Fremont has been quite busy since it opened.
According to PropertyBanc (which I just posted on the Shoppes on Giles thread) one of the two restaurant pads has been sold. They have two restaurant pads there - one 10k and one 5k. I will try to repost some graphics over there.
Lots 1 & 2 are actually on the NEC of 99th & Giles - Between the Omaha State Bank and Centris Credit Union buildings. Together they add up to 88,000 Sq. Ft. (2.02 acres) which I thought was rather small - but their restaurant on West Center & 192nd is on 54,000 Sq. Ft. (1.25 acres)
Boy I hope they open in LaVista. It would be close enough for me to hit the place at lunchtime. With all the money on the west side of Papillion and LaVista it is surprising that hardly any restaurants have opened. And the 99th and Giles location is only 3-4 minutes from I-80.
At the Sarpy Hy-Vee Grand Opening, a Lazlo's guy was there giving out free samples of all of their beer. I asked him, and he said that the LaVista property has been purchased, and to expect opening around end of year to beginning of next year timeframe.
Are there any legs to the mention in another thread that they were / are looking at moving the building from Fremont? All doable but seems pretty spendy. Maybe there isn't a market for the building and location in Fremont but it would surprise me if something wouldn't work in the Fremont location. There is a lot happening around it.
Any new news here? I just reread an old article from the Fremont paper about their closing the Fremont store. A friend had heard that it was mismanaged. It was always crowded. I am surprised that Mayfair has not taken off yet (Culver's I hope will help) . And losing Back to Guangzhou has hurt my corner area.
Knew this had been on deck for a while and did a search for this thread but untill I posted I didnt look that it is just a few days short of five years since the last post wondering about an update.
