They were talking about this on 1620. Supposedly some rumor on an article coming out this week. Neither Nebraska nor NCAA seems to know anything about it.

Re: Nebraska Basketball 2021-2022
Seems like all the chat on this thread is the Men’s team, while meanwhile the Husker women are undefeated and Coach Amy Williams just earned ESPN national coach of the week. The team also ranked 7th in the NCAA NET rankings.
“Nebraska coach Amy Williams was recognized Monday by ESPN as national coach of the week. Williams has the Huskers off to a 12-0 start, their best since joining the Big Ten and their best overall since the 2009-10 season.
The Huskers moved up one spot in this week’s AP poll to 29th. Five Big Ten teams — Maryland (6), Indiana (8), Michigan (9), Iowa (21) and Ohio State (25) — are ranked in the top 25.
The coaches poll, which will be updated Tuesday, had Nebraska 27th last week. “

Big win by the Huskers women's team! They should be ranked.
Plus, they're a young team and will be adding a top 50 player in 6'6' Maggie Mendelson next year. She's been dominating out here in Utah.

With this win though, the voters will have to take notice. And we have a tough gauntlet of opponents for the next couple weeks too.Greg S wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:48 amYeah I think it's so strange with their record and how they've played that they weren't ranked going into last nights game.....Uffda wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 5:40 amNebraska stuns No. 8 Michigan for Huskers' first win over a top-10 team since 2014 79-58Doctor Fate wrote: Tue Jan 04, 2022 10:10 pm Big win by the Huskers women's team! Absolutely. The question will be how high in the rankings do we go?
Amy Williams I think is the lone bright spot of the Shawn Eichorst era.

Just a thought.
Maybe he needs to get a system going where he IS NOT making massive changes every off-season.

I think that's part of the issue. He's obviously bringing in talented players but also needs to make sure they all fit together and buy in to whatever culture he is trying to establish and fit into his system.

Unannounced contract extension adds millions to Fred Hoiberg's buyout
Even if Hoiberg can’t get more Big Ten wins, Nebraska may not be in an easy financial position to consider other coaching options because it would owe him an approximately $18.5 million buyout.

As far as Hoiberg is concerned I actually think this might be a good thing. Obviously Nebraska is not a traditional basketball school in any way. Hoiberg has issues right now but he is bringing in talent we haven't seen since Nee. Whether a change in culture is needed, different mix or updated system, I would not mind seeing him given a few more years to tinker (and that probably means some adjustments to his staff.Uffda wrote: Tue Jan 11, 2022 9:12 pm Unannounced contract extension adds millions to Fred Hoiberg's buyout

The OWH article also says "It was one of many extensions Moos offered to his hand-picked coaches and staff members during his time as athletic director." I would like to know who the others were. We know of a couple, Frost and Bolt.
