Wait & Martin Named AVCA All-Americans

Creighton Volleyball's Kendra Wait and Ava Martin have been recognized as All-Americans by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday, Dec. 13. Wait was a Third Team All-American choice, while Martin was an Honorable Mention pick. Creighton is the only BIG EAST Conference school to be represented in the 2023 honors.

Volleyball Ranked 15th in Final AVCA Poll

The Creighton Volleyball team finished 2023 ranked No. 15 in the final AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25 poll of the season released on Monday, the program's best year-end ranking since being No. 13 in 2018. It's the eighth time in the last nine seasons that Creighton has been ranked in the year-end AVCA poll, something only 11 schools (BYU, Creighton, Florida, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin) can claim.

Sis, Wait & Martin Earn VolleyballMag.com All-America honors

Three members from the Creighton Volleyball team have been named All-Americans by VolleyballMag.com. Norah Sis was named a Second Team All-American, Kendra Wait recognized with Third Team All-American laurels, and Ava Martin chosen as an Honorable Mention All-American. This year marks the eighth straight season that Creighton has had at least one All-American from VolleyballMag.com, but the three honorees trails only the four selections from CU's 2021 squad that included Sis, Wait, Abby Bottomley and Jaela Zimmerman.

Volleyball Adds Penn State Transfer Maddy Bilinovic

Maddy Bilinovic, a defensive specialist and libero with the Penn State program the previous four seasons, is transferring to Creighton to play her fifth and final season of collegiate volleyball. An Independence, Ohio native, Bliniovic (BILL-in-OH-vick) played in 103 matches at Penn State, collecting 790 digs, 179 assists and 58 aces for the seven-time national champions. The Nittany Lions reached the NCAA Tournament all four years, advancing to the Regional semifinals in three of those seasons.

Volleyball Adds National Champion Elise Goetzinger

Elise Goetzinger, who started in Kentucky's national championship victory in Omaha in the spring of 2021, is transferring to play volleyball at Creighton. The 6-foot-4 middle blocker from Blue Mounds, Wis., will enroll at Creighton this spring and compete in her final year of eligibility in a Bluejay uniform
