This morning at 6:03 am. Workers already on site.
Nice pic :thumb: ..

It’s been sitting at this same height level for 2 weekends. Hope to see it ratcheted up another story or 2 within the next few days to a week…

Does anybody have any estimates on when that crane is going to be raised?

Perhaps construction of the central core is on hold, until the surrounding parking garage construction catches up.

Lots of concrete pouring this morning. Guessing the crane gets hiked next week.

I recognize the crane mounting points on the 13th floor for the future attached crane. However, what are the yellow platforms sticking out on floors 9 and 10?

Those are called SuperDecks. They’re like gigantic drawers that slide out for crane deliveries and then slide back in. There’s one on each side of the garage too.

Stupid question, but is the blue crane going to be attached to the building as well?

I think it might go up a little. But I doubt it's going all the way up with the main crane. It looks like the blue crane is just so material can be delivered to the back corners of the garage. I could be wrong though.

All of your photos are incredibly well done Brad, but this has to be one of your most creative shots ever. I assume this is long exposure and that has never crossed my mind for a crane moving, so cool!

Thanks. Yes, in total it was a 90 second exposure, but done with three 30 second exposures. I was setting up and it started moving and I didn't have time to change the mode to shoot past 30 seconds, so I just head the button down and took 3. The third exposure it was only moving for a few seconds and then stopped, so that's why you see the crane at the end of the swing.

I really enjoy long exposure shots. Did you use a much longer exposure for the 2nd photo compared to the first?

1.
The first photo is 5 exposures, 30 seconds each, but the crane was not moving in one of the exposures. The gaps in the light are from camera pausing between cameras. The crane made 1 single rotation.

2.
The second photo 8 exposures, 30 seconds each. The crane made 2 rotations and covered up the gaps.

Quick question: Why Mutual of Omaha (or any other building in Omaha) does not build more parking underground? Is it a matter of $$$? Is it the soil?
