The concrete pumping arm is on top of the tower, looks like another Monday pour / Tuesday raise again this week!

So looking back at skinzfan23's numbers, if they do pour Monday and raise Tuesday, that will be the first 7 day turnaround since floor 9.

Above level 30, the steel should start gently leaning inwards as it narrows to the top.

Perhaps this is pour is part of the taller observation floor thus no elevator door openings and that sped the timeline?

Has this observation floor always been part of the plan or something new? I don't remember hearing about it. I would also be shocked if they had an observation floor with no elevator access.

Great photo, that’s the view similar to the one of yours I have hanging on our wall. Can’t wait to see it when the tower is done.

On a side note, are all those lights out on the luminarium or does it normally look like that with those dozen or so darker sections on the bottom?

I'd be more shocked if the observation floor had elevators access stacked on top of each other for the same floor..haha. (it may take 2 pours to get one tall observation floor. If the observation floor is equivalent to two floors.)

Yes, the plans have always showed an observation floor.

According to AI overview:

Features:

The building will have 800,000 square feet of office, meeting, collaboration, and amenity space. It will also include a street-level lobby with a conference center and experience center, a five-story sky lobby with food service, a fitness center, and outdoor terraces, and a 44th-floor with conference facilities and a two-story atrium, according to Mutual of Omaha.

And according to MOO website:

The 44th floor will feature conference facilities highlighted by expansive views from a two-story atrium. Senior leaders will be positioned near their teams, eliminating the need for an executive floor.

I believe the only part that will have public access is:

"an inviting street-level lobby featuring conference space as well as an “experience center” spotlighting Mutual’s history, brand and impact on customers and the community".

On a side note: Your latest photo Brad is literally the same shot on the MOO home page so it's pretty cool to compare where things are now to where they will eventually be. It would be pretty cool if there were public access to the observation deck but it's not that big a deal to me personally. I'm more interested in what this building does for the city economically and image wise. Who knows though......maybe you might be able to pull some strings at some point and get some nice photos up there lol.

I took that photo too. It was taken in 2019 during the height of the flooding. That's why the trees below the tower are out in the water. That flood killed those trees and they are gone now.

Will the tower crown be even with the final floor or sit above the last floor?

IIRC it's permitted over 700ft and, while I'm no crane expert, presumably has to be above the top floor a ways so it can hoist the materials for said floor

According to this photo, the crown will extend above the final roof height by 30-40 ft. The “Mutual of Omaha” signage looks like it’ll be positioned directly at or slightly above the roof height.

So technically the "structure" will be slightly over 700 feet since the crown extends 30-40 feet? Or does 677 feet include the crown?

Apologies if I'm not picking up what you're putting down.

Yes, 677 includes the crown. The tower crane is permitted up to 700 ft. That only leaves 23 ft of clearance, which doesn’t really leave any room for a “surprise”.

Love the model pics. It’s hard to believe that about 26 years ago the Woodmen was the tallest building in town. Omaha’s skyline has changed tremendously since then with the addition of two 600 footers. Thanks to FNBO and Mutual of Omaha for having the ability to make this happen, absolutely fantastic.

Memory is a bad thing with me. I thought I had read somewhere that the crane would top out in the 800+ foot range. Didn't trust my memory so I scoured this thread and found this. Looks like the link no longer points to this project. But apparently it once did and referenced 775 feet.

My old signature got too old. So old it was getting almost as old me as me. Yeah, it was up there in years.

There's a wild photo of it about half way down the previous page of this thread as will as a more standard photo of it in the Duo thread.

The Concrete pumping arm is on top of the tower again today. Are they even taking it down anymore or should we expect a poor in the next couple days? Tuesday would be a week.
