That signs been up for like two years now. I can’t remember what went up first I think the Tommy sign and then the G&S sign was shortly after it, but they both been there forever. I believe it was posted in the Tommy’s thread, but Tommy is also had their building permit for several months and just haven’t started.

I couldn't find a tread for it. The CVS at 84th & West Center has 2 long dumpsters by it with looks like drywall. Gutting?

A few weeks ago when I was looking for a car part on AutoZone's web site, AutoZone had a location listed for this address. Since then, that location has disappeared from their store locator.

Edit: Here is a GrowOmaha post on that: https://growomaha.com/news-briefs-archi ... ormer-cvs/

People are willing to shop local to a point on a $50 item online, it's being asked $70 local. They were a non-starter for mil surplus, paintball, ammo and shoes.

I like the "new" store, bought some Kuhl and Sherpa there and hit their clearance racks. But I do miss the old army surplus stuff, Blaklader and actual shooting sports. They carried some unique items such as Hultafors axes.

From what I'm hearing, pulling of the Boy Scouts contract did them in.
Confield's was more affordable back when it was off 25th & Cuming St. We used to shop there as kids for camping supplies and they also sold Boy Scout uniforms. They were a legit "Army surplus" store back then too. They moved out to 84th & Center and tried to become a Scheel's.

According to an article from Omaha Magazine , "...we moved here from 24th and Cuming Streets in 1994”.
