Looks great! I hope they figure out the graphics quicker than the past board. It seemed like it took them 2 full years before they knew how to operate it correctly. Also hope they use the board for stats and replays not all the advertising, but I know that is wishful thinking.

How much bigger (sorry this has probably already been stated) is this one than the last one?

We have got an NBA caliber arena sitting downtown, that scoreboard is incredible. Creighton is really fortunate to play in a place like this.

Thanks Brad! How do the ribbon boards and other displays look?

Good heavens, this is an exponential upgrade. It's more than just night and day.

Its all amazing. The new ribbons are Really clear, the new board on the south end looks way better! When we first walked in the played a video that was using all of it. All the ribbons, all the boards, even the triangle sliver corners of the new board are video boards, and the new court side video boards. It was really cool.

Do they have an app for that? Seriously an app that shows everything that giant thing does plus on-demand replays so I can stand in line 20 minutes for beer and not miss anything.

I actually don't mind the green. It's a nice shade at least. Compliments everything else that is down there. Imagine if it were red or orange though. That would be pretty awesome.

I actually don't mind the green since it actually goes well with TDAP. Red or Orange would make me go "ew". These new video boards are really quite spectacular, can't wait to see them first hand!

I still look at this place and wonder if they should have just gone with more seating during the last expansion. I also still wonder where the heck any additional suites would go if they added them like Roger Dixon said they could in that article in the OWH a while back.

Didn't know where else to put this, but the CenturyLink Center changed the led lighting to pink along with TD Ameritrade Park for the breast cancer walk/run.

If you missed the Creighton Thread, Jacob posted some photos of the new Club Lounge, the "Lexus Club" It looks completely different.

Also, did the Bud Bar get renamed the "Bud Light Bar" this year or is that older?

Actually I posted the photos, Jacob just commented on them. As far as the Bud Bar, I am not sure if they just changed it, but I did notice that they changed all the names and the look of the concession stands.

Nice to see all the upgrades, I have been to a lot of arenas/sports facilites and cities don't upgrade and let them go. It truly is all part of the fan experience and it makes me proud to call Omaha home.

I forget, what was the Lounge called before it was the "Lexus Lounge"?

Must be why I couldn't remember it! Hah.

There's the Lexus Lounge, and isn't there kind of small ones behind each side of suites?

Nope, there is a little area where they set up drink stands for suites where the owner doesn't provide Booze.

Gotcha, I just remember getting drinks from one of those places when I sat in a suites a few times and remembered it, incorrectly, to be bigger than that.

Must have been no demand for another full lounge then.

The area in the suite behind the seats where the TV and Refrigrator (and Buffet in some suites) is fairly large.

As far as outside the suites, that hallway over looks the lobby on the west side and overlooks the club lounge on the east side.

With that said, I am surprised there are no stairs from the Suite level directly in to the club lounge. Suite people also have access to the Club Lounge. [FirstWorldProblem] It sucks when you are in a suite on the west side and you want a good beer and need to walk all the way to the club lounge [/FirstWoldProblem] :;):

An interesting article with a few more details about the recent upgrades at the CenturyLink Center.

Sound & Communications recently published a feature article on our upgraded control room, scoreboard and digital signage.

I need to peak my head in the new control room tomorrow night. I heard it's amazing and I have walked by it a couple times, but I haven't looked in there yet. The old one was cool, I can't imagine how different the new one would be.

Fun fact:
Since 1963, only one state abbreviation has changed. Originally Nebraska was “NB”; but, in November 1969, the Post Office changed it to “NE” to avoid confusion with New Brunswick in Canada

I'm not going to share the link but which came first, the posting here or in the OWH? If it was here first and the OWH got the tip here, do they pay someone to check this site daily or do they use an unpaid intern? My money is on the intern.

I was always amazed that the OWH never picked up on the European style development with the canals & Nordstroms....
