I agree w this 110%. And I’d like to add regulardless of age, marital status, race, sexuality because despite inaction from the state on many worker protections, Omaha has taken the lead and passed ordinances to protect minorities and LGBT people in the workplace. I’m not sure about Lincoln but I would assume the same from the college city.

100%. When I tell people out here in SLC about the Omaha/Lincoln tech scene, they are always surprised. But if people did their research, they would find things like this and see that there are so many opportunities and a thriving, diverse and quickly growing tech market with strong and industry leading companies.

I’m not sure about Lincoln but I would assume the same from the college city.

Lincoln does offer legal protections for LGBT folks as well. On my recent visit, it was encouraging to see swarms of young people all over neighborhoods East of 72nd, and businesses catering to them. I remember remarking to family members that, 20 years ago, that same part of town seemed irredeemably scruffy and hopeless. The continuing transformation is really encouraging.
