Re: North Streams (NEC 204th & Q Street)
Does anyone know what's going in the middle? It looks like it would be either apartments or assisted living based upon the amount of plumbing rough-ins I've seen.
Also, I hope they're not putting in a big circle where people can park against that middle building and they have to back out on to a curved main road. They did this at Shops of Legacy and it's also like that by Firestone on 180th and Center (where the Fresh Thyme grocery store once stood). Trying to back out from a curved parking space into oncoming traffic that's driving 25mph (or more) is not a very bright design, IMO.

Not sure, that old mixed use plan in that first link is back when they scanned (poorly) all the documents. Kind of assuming it apartments.

Re: North Streams (NEC 204th & Q Street)
Does anyone know what is being built near the NE corner of 204th & Q St? It's just to the north of the corner and based upon the footprint they have so far I'd guess it to be some sort of food spot. Can't be a Starbucks (well, I should say it's unlikely to be another Starbucks) as one just opened to the south on the west side of 204th about a block or so away from there. Looks too large to be a scooters (I'd roughly guess the size to be a Chipotle/McDonald's/etc).
I believe there's a Christiansen Bros automotive repair going in to the east a bit on the north side of Q St. The main build up in the center appears to be a large multi-family living complex (ie, apartments) with underground parking (or at least garage parking that spans the entire length of the main building).
I drive past this area daily to drop my daughter off at school and it looks like they're building on both sides along 204th. Of course Tommy's Express carwash is on the map at the NW corner, LOL.

Here is what I see so far:
Lot 7 = METHODIST PHYSICIANS CLINIC
Lot 8 = KDMC LLC
Lot 9 = MCDONALDS USA LLC
Lot 10 = NORTH STREAMS C-STORE LLC
The apartment was in my last construction video.

Re: North Streams (NEC 204th & Q Street)
Methodist Physicians is pretty much right next door to the McDonalds just down the road. So that's surprising if they'd open a second location up the road - along with the McDonald's property. That's almost as bad as Scooters or Starbucks! That must mean the store at 180th does crazy business as I would think the territory is protected for the franchisee of that existing store.Brad wrote: Thu May 11, 2023 4:05 pm Here is what I see so far:

KDMC - no idea. Probably an LLC or something that owns property and will be opening up shop. North Streams C-store I would think would need to include gas. Pretty much has to be Kum and Go (or whatever the heck their called now) or Casey's, I would think.

Googling around it might be a Dave's Hot Chicken? KDMC LLC list "MICHAEL STAAB" as their Directors/Officers.djc311 wrote: Mon May 15, 2023 9:30 pm KDMC - no idea. Probably an LLC or something that owns property and will be opening up shop.
Then found this article:

So reading the article, there is a slight possibility it could be a pizza hut too since he is partner is 67 pizza hut locations?Dave’s Hot Chicken, the Los Angeles- based street food marvel turned fast-casual brand, announced it has signed a franchise agreement with brothers Curt, Dave, Gary, and Mike Staab to open 15 locations all through Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska specifically focused on the Kansas City, Lincoln, and Omaha.

Never had Dave’s Hot Chicken, but it would be cool to have a new concept out there. Pizza Hut is also relatively close at 168th & Q.Brad wrote: Tue May 16, 2023 1:23 pmGoogling around it might be a Dave's Hot Chicken? It will be interesting to see what else comes to the area - it looks like something is going up between the Starbucks and Rusty Taco just to the southwest. A lot of land is getting turned over right now… wish they’d drop a Target out there.

The McDonalds at North Steams opened yesterday ( 8/24/23) Huge banner held up by a telehandler-type fork lift makes it almost impossible to not know they are open.
My one question is, is the ice cream machine broken and not working yet?

Definitely don't try to order ice cream after 10pm... or during the mornings. I'd also suggest to not expect to get it during lunch or dinner time during the week or weekends.nebugeater wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 11:13 am The McDonalds at North Steams opened yesterday ( 8/24/23) Huge banner held up by a telehandler-type fork lift makes it almost impossible to not know they are open.

I can't believe they've already opened that place... any word on other businesses aside from the auto repair place and the others that have been mentioned above?

I drive by almost daily and would never have guessed it would open already. When I came by yesterday at about 4 PM there were cars in the lot, and the banner was suspended by the telehandler along with some other flags up saying now open closer to the highway. As little as a week ago, there sure looked like a lot left. I believe the drive-thru menu boards did not go in until Mo or Tue.
No idea on other places.

Re: North Streams (NEC 204th & Q Street)
Reminds me of how quickly they would open a Hot n Now restaurant if anyone on here remembers those. When I lived near Saddle Creek I remember them bringing that Hot n Now in basically as two halves, already sided/painted/etc. They dropped them down and were probably open within a couple of weeks.
The food wasn't great, but I kinda liked that place at the time because it was pretty cheap and I remember their fries being huge.

What is going up next to McDonald's? It looks like a gas station. Quiktrip maybe from looking at the front?

Although that's likely a bit out of their normal demographic and to build a new structure would be extremely expensive (they tend to acquire shut down stations that are falling apart).

Looks like a gas station. you can see the pump bases that are installed in front of the building. The one thing I have not noticed though is tanks going in. I drive by almost daily but it is possible I missed it.BPHusker wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 1:29 pm What is going up next to McDonald's? It looks like a gas station. Your guess on a qucktrip would fit the look. It could be a Kum & Go too.
About a year ago there was no gas available between Gretna and Elkhorn When this is done there will be Four options.

Does anyone else find it out that HyVee is building a gas station (aka, Fresh Express or whatever their fancy name for it is) down by Center at 204th when they already have a Casey's across the street and another HyVee gas station to the south between Harrison and F?BPHusker wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 2:31 pm I did notice stacks of bricks so that leads me to believe it's a Quiktrip or Casey's (ugh)
I knew someone a long time ago that owned a couple of gas stations and at the time it wasn't commonplace for so many of them to have onsite kitchens, so maybe that's the huge money maker - because he said they made about $.02/gallon on gas, if that. So other than snacks and junk food, pop, etc there wasn't anything else bringing in revenue so not sure how they survive.

HyVee's Coming Soon sign had been up on that location for a long time. I believe it was up even before the one was built near F St.djc311 wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 2:47 pmDoes anyone else find it out that HyVee is building a gas station (aka, Fresh Express or whatever their fancy name for it is) down by Center at 204th when they already have a Casey's across the street and another HyVee gas station to the south between Harrison and F?BPHusker wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 2:31 pm I did notice stacks of bricks so that leads me to believe it's a Quiktrip or Casey's (ugh)

I think this was heavily driven by the success of Casey's and QuikTrip. Now, all of the other brands are building kitchens into their convenience stores. For me, a donut, slice of pizza, or hotdog on occasion? Sure. Anything more than that? Re: North Streams (NEC 204th & Q Street)
Yesterday, a passenger was driving by, not the driver. There is a sign on the corner of this development that has some of the development noted, and I had not seen that detail before. There is a LOGO for the Mcdonald's, and the lot next to it does have a LOGO for Casey's. I guess that answered the question.nebugeater wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 3:04 pmThe building looks bigger than your typical cCasey'sBPHusker wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 2:31 pm I did notice stacks of bricks so that leads me to believe it's a Quiktrip or Casey's (ugh)
I will have to get back by there and get a better look at the sign and see what else it might reveal. I looked for the same info on Line this AM and was not able to find it.

Re: North Streams (NEC 204th & Q Street)
Stopped along the road yesterday to get a good look at the sign I mentioned above. Here are a couple of photos
Confirms Casy's next to Mcdonald's.
Says Tommy's Car Wash on the other side if McDonald's. This is interesting because there has been a Tonny's "coming soon" sign on the other side of Highway 6/31 for about a year. That development has not seem to have any movement, so I assume that they changed locations.
There is a lot designated for Methodist Health.
Christenson Brouthers Auto service. Interesting as they are building along 370, also a ways to the S of the Hyvee development
Ziggi's Coffee
I believe there is one in South Lincoln along 70th Street that I pass by sometimes. Other than that do not know anything about them.
The Learning Experience - looks to be getting close to opening.
