City of Lincoln announces addition of six bison to Pioneers Park Nature Center



Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and the Parks and Recreation Department today announced that the City has added six new bison to the herd.

The City of Lincoln purchased the six bison in early January for $9,000.

The Pioneers Park Nature Center welcomed six new female bison to the herd in January. The Nature Center is now home to 12 bison.

Was in Lincoln last Saturday and went to check these out. Very impressive herd.

If you haven't been to Pioneers Park before, I highly recommend it.
