Looks like JoAnn is bankrupt again and trying to find a buyer. They filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2024, so this is the second one in less than a year. This time may actually be the end of JoAnn. I know someone that works there. They've been told to not sell anymore gift cards and to not accept any FedEx or UPS deliveries.

Oh wow, that's not good... I imagine they receive several packages that way and if they're told to turn them away, that means they close any day!

That's too bad - I've only gone in there a couple of times for projects, mainly for my daughters. Unfortunately I imagine Hobby Lobby would be the likely one to survive as it's private and they have a rather dedicated following. Michael's doesn't sell fabric, so hard to say how they'll hang on (I think their big target is custom framing).

I found this to be quite the understatement: "the debtors and their advisors were able to identify a subset of underperforming stores." Hmm, labeling 60% of the stores a "subset"…

Yep. My mom works at their Bellevue location.

132nd & Center and Lincoln will remain open.

The stores in Council Bluffs and Bellevue are closing. Going out of business sale starts this weekend.
