The Nashville restaurants will be In-N-Out's first to open east of Texas and could include as many as 15 locations. The California-based burger chain also has a new regional office under construction in Franklin, Tennessee, just south of Nashville.
In-N-Out needs to stop claiming they remained West Coast for so long because of quality control. That made sense decades ago, but they can keep their quality the same now. It's the personnel they'll have to control more than anything and prices.
Now bring one here so I can get a Double Double with chopped chilis and well done fries.

So is there a personnel difference between the west coast and the rest of the states?

I should have been more specific when I said quality control as I'm speaking for the quality of their food and distance from distribution centers. Shipping in fresh produce isn't what it once was. Back when oranges were given at Christmas because they weren't easily found in colder climates. Distribution is easier to maintain nowadays for getting fresh ingredients to most of the 48 states in large cities. They could easily expand here, but I think the quality control in managing more stores to the consistency known in the West would be difficult. You'll have drops in quality of personnel and how they maintain the restaurant more so than the quality of the food being consistent with what you get in California.
