I was up north of Kennard last night to get some shots of the auroras. At its peak while I was out there, the green started wrapping around the red pillars and were nearly overhead. Just amazing - I've never seen aurora like this, let alone here in NE.

I've heard that's a possibility, but I don't think the conditions will be as absolutely perfect as they were last night. I'm still going to keep an eye on it though.

Usually when they are over reported, like today, they never happen... LOL. Last night was amazing and it would be really hard to top.

At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely in your kitchen?!?!?

Nice! You caught that wrap-around, too!

The Space Weather Prediction Center just issued a statement predicting G4 or stronger conditions, so we may be in for another great show tonight after all.

Yeah, that was pretty cool.

We have way more clouds right now than last night. Hope they clear out. Otherwise, it could be a great sunset too...

Not my photo - saw it on social media but I'm unsure who actually took the photo so can't credit them. This is reportedly a photo from an airplane over Omaha...

I saw one that said it was from the space station, but it was total IA junk. Cuba was way larger than it should have been with way more big city lights that were very evenly spaced around the edge of the island. Then it had a huge city, way larger than L.A. in Montana.... LOL, nice try.
